A few things about the planet change
A few things about this new planet:
-Your character will wake up in the middle of his or her new job, but everyone is close enough together that it should be easy to find each other. This won't be a world where they have to wonder where the people they care about are. Please doublecheck here for the job list and please sign up for any available jobs before you post with your character (if you haven't signed up already)
-It is your typical high fantasy/medieval style world. Everyone will be living in buildings in a village based around the castle. There is a wall around the village at the base of the castle and outside the wall is a forest. In the middle of the forest is a large lake.
-And yes, everyone is getting a dwelling (if you'd like/if it makes sense, feel free to have people share). These dwellings have been lived in and still contain the possessions and furniture of the previous owners, but have closets with medieval clothes that fit your character.
-This world is a matriarchy. What this means is that the men are the oppressed here. This article details what it was like for women in medieval times. This is what it will be like for the male characters.
-This world contains orcs, elves, trolls, dragons, and various other creatures that can be found in fantasy stories. Just ask us if you're going to introduce something big, but otherwise, have fun with it.
-Everyone will wake up in medieval clothing. Though the gender roles are reversed, this doesn't mean that the guys will be forced to wear dresses. Dresses are still traditionally feminine garments and women may wear either dresses or pants, depending on what makes the most sense for their station and their job.
-Since IJ has been down for the last few days we are making a small exception on the backdating. If you've already started a log on the spaceship in gdocs or email, you may post it anytime between now and Tuesday and just note the backdating. Otherwise, there shouldn't be any more new threads on the spaceship.
