Who: Prince Lukáš & Prince Felix
What: Wedding night~
Where: Palace Hall, leading to bedchambers
When: Late evening, three weeks after Prince Lukáš' arrival in Albion
It was a universal assumption that one's wedding day was typically the happiest of a person's life; if they were lucky enough to have had a choice in things. Even so, some found contentment in arranged marriages, if not right away then eventually. In the case of Prince Lukáš, however, he was unsure as to whether he would ever experience something akin to happiness in his life. His marriage was out of duty to his kingdom and his obligation to his family, nothing more.
Preparations had been going on since before he had arrived at the court of King Anthony of Albion. As a foreign prince from a mistrusted land, Lukáš had been avoided by most of the palace staff and left to his own devices, though he hadn't failed to notice that he was always being watched closely by the palace guards. He rarely spent time with his husband-to-be, who was too preoccupied with his royal duties and wedding preparations to have free time to acquaint himself with his future spouse. Such a thing suited Lukáš just fine.
Yet the day of the wedding finally arrived with as much pomp and ceremony as a royal union deserved. It ended up being something of a whirlwind for Lukáš, who was too focused on doing everything correctly according to Albion's customs to allow himself a moment to think. Once all had been said and done, and he and Prince Felix had exchanged vows, he was finally free to breathe. Yet he didn't give himself the opportunity to think about what his life would look like from that day forward, for it was no longer his own to do with as he pleased.
Dressed in his finery, Lukáš remained subdued during the banquet and entertainment that followed the wedding ceremony. He watched as the mostly unknown slew of guests enjoyed themselves, yet opted out of joining in. There was, after all, nothing for him to celebrate and nobody whom he knew to spend his time with.
It was almost a relief when it was declared that the newlyweds were to retire for the evening, with him making a hasty exit in the shadow of the guards who led him towards his marriage bed. This part would be relatively easy in comparison to everything else, though it offered him no degree of comfort.
