* Since our last recap, there has been a Dark Lord Asher crackfic and a quote of the week posted on the Lightning Watch LiveJournal.
Completed/Continuing Open Threads:
Liane Malfoy is feeling out of sorts, and decides to distract Jenny Moody with puzzles, since that's the most useful thing people are willing to permit her to do. (Closed and complete.)
Melina Zabini finds Mercutio Zabini, Liane Malfoy and Nat Pritchard all confusing, but she and Charis Malfoy are definitely in accord about a few things. (Closed and complete.)
Will Goyle tells the Hogwarts students and staff what happened last night. (Possibly complete?)
Keresek p'Steren has his own point of view about recent developments, which he discusses with his sister, his mother, and Nat Pritchard. (Closed and complete.)
Liane Malfoy sends Michel a very personal reply to his letter; Lavinia Scalara is amused, but the conversation she and Michel have takes a sombre turn. (Closed and complete.)
New Posts:
After Robbie Campion's memorial service, his sister Lady Cassilda and his best friend, Hadrian Kyteler, come to terms with their grief and their differences, and former friends set aside their differences.
Gabriel de Valois is concerned about Séverine Black de Malfoy, and uncertain of his probable fate in Britannia; Séverine is still in a very bad mood, but they're finally going to get the hell out of Calais. (Closed and complete.)
James Warrington has a lot to think about.
Patricia Rosier is worried about her prospects for the future, which appear to be dim.
Naszvadi Lili is getting involved in things that are none of her business again. And what, exactly, could Stepán Zitek, Halász Sharolt and Alessio Zabini all be contenders for, anyway?
Liane Malfoy is homesick for a home she never had.
Alessio Zabini and Yvon Malfoy work out a few more of their old problems. (EXPLICIT)
Liane Malfoy and Bella Zabini have too much to drink; Endymion Dashwood stops them from setting the kitchen on fire when it becomes obvious that Liane clearly isn't used to being intoxicated. (Warning: discussions of past emotional, sexual and physical abuse.)
Endymion Dashwood still can't sleep, so he writes to Hadrian Kyteler, his cousin Emmeline Wilkes and his aunt Bitsy Wilkes.
Minerva McGonagall feels responsible enough to inform Charis Malfoy of the fate of her best friend, Laurie Foggington, even though she'd really rather not have.
Minerva hides the letter she'd have preferred to send in her diary.
Liane Malfoy writes a drunken journal entry.
Séverine Black de Malfoy wonders why she's not in Britannia yet--and where, exactly, she and her companions physically are.
Nat Pritchard answers his sisters' letters and writes a letter to his former fiancée, Séverine, that she may or may not ever receive.
Corinne Allison responds to her friend Poppy Pomfrey's letter and attempts to reopen her conversation with Eliot Gardiner.
Corinne Allison is feeling a little out of her depth.
Edward Kyteler answers post from Marek Červenka, his son Hadrian and Nat Pritchard, and writes to Dracaena Lady Malfoy and Cyneheard Lord Farryll.
Jerome Device is perfectly willing to help Rosalind Clutterbuck raise the standards for drama at St Mungo's.
Callista Lovelace thinks things haven't improved as much as they need to at Hogwarts, despite Goyle's best efforts. Her friends Mercuria, Dio and Jon try to cheer her up a bit. (Possibly complete?)
Howard Lovelace is shocked at his brother's death and overwhelmed by his new responsibilities.
Howard Lovelace sends a letter to his nephew Ambrose and niece Callista to inform them of the sad news...with some help from his executive secretary, Charlotte Rennell.
Edward Kyteler reluctantly agrees to send Vincent Rosenthal on a mission to extract Séverine Black de Malfoy from her troubles, despite knowing she was once Vince's mistress.
Jenica Popescu sends long overdue replies to letters from her guardian Marek Červenka and her friend Nat Pritchard, and also writes to let Zitekné Báthory Zsuzsanna know her wards are all right.
Stepán Zitek informs Endymion Dashwood that the Ziteks are headed in the direction of Hogwarts soon.
Endymion Dashwood thinks Liane Malfoy is better off not taking drugs, and is amused that she's fallen asleep in the carriage with himself and Moruith and Valeria, whom he is teasing.
Delilah Lockhart Patil answers letters from Endymion Dashwood and Lavinia Scalara, and flirts with Jack Randall by post.
There are a lot of annoying things on Delilah Patil's mind.
New Journals:
irrgarten Howard Lovelace, the younger brother of the late William Arundel Lovelace, is a talented artificer and builder of difference engines, automata and other classified projects. He is in no way even remotely prepared to take over his brother's business or the raising of his brother's children, Ambrose and Callista, and Kyteler and the War Bureau need him right where he is. Unfortunately, he realises that his sister Sophia, who is married to Francis Lord Casaubon, is hardly even a good mother to her own children, and that she and her husband have designs on the family fortunes that are going to be problematic at best. (PB: Robert Downey Jr.)
kafziel Kafziel, sometimes transliterated from the Hebrew as Cassiel or Castiel, is an angel of Binah, understanding, and the second sphere who normally serves to observe the unfolding of the fate of the universe. But when a holy seal was broken in the seventh sphere, terrible and awful things were set into motion, and he slipped through a tear in the fabric of tenth-sphere reality into the physical world in order to find the people who can restore the broken seals and hopefully prevent the war which is already tearing the mundane world, the arcane world and the faerie world apart from becoming a part of the greater battle between Heaven and Hell. (PB: Misha Collins)
Here's the list of who's where on Insane Journal.
Renamed Journals:
None this time.
New Graphics:
Gabriel de Valois, Callista Lovelace, Dracaena Malfoy, Liane Malfoy, Séverine Black de Malfoy, Jack Randall and Patricia Rosier all have new userpics.
Please be patient with us as many of the new journals are not yet set up and do not yet have proper layouts. I'm 2/3 way done with my own and then I'll be able to help other people. Once all the old journals are laid out at all, new layouts will again be noteworthy.
Under New Management:
brightmechanism Callista Lovelace will now be written by jamoche.
There are a lot of characters that are currently open. Check out the Adoptable Characters page for descriptions of the kinds of adoptions that are open and lists of characters available for each. If you are not sure, ask. :)
