Come on this is our adventure
Who: Charlene, Cloelia, Melia and Nixie (probably a shouting NPC too)
Where: Nursing Home - the river
When: Twilight-ish
Ever since she had been in the hospital Charlene had wondered what it would be like to play in one of those rolling things. Yes they had a name according to the landwalkers but she much preferred the way that Cloelia had labeled them - landrollers. It made sense. And she wanted to roll one around outside of the hospital. They had put her in one just that once when she was being moved to the waiting area. And she had not even gotten to use the wheels herself, the lady in white had pushed her the whole way. It had felt weird and she only imagined that it would feel much more fun if she was the one in control of the situation. Which tonight she would be. It had taken a little bit of wheedling to get her sister to agree but finally Charlene had managed to drag Nixie along to where she had agreed to meet Cloelia and... um... she could not remember the name of the other mermaid. A fact she was going to blame on not having been awake more than a few hours and not on that bit where she was just not good with names unless she met the person herself. The exception to that rule had been Roxy's parents, but that was only because knowing their names helped when she went to inform them of just how awful they were.
Now getting Nixie out of the water and into clothing had been a little more difficult. Her sister always had to be difficult when it came to these things. Leaving her to mutter over the dress that Charlene had given her - if she had not worn it backwards then it might not feel so awkward - the younger mermaid looked around for Cloelia. She was more than a little excited about this. Part of her was fully aware that, according to the laws that humans had, you were not supposed to take things that did not belong to you. And that was what made this so exciting. It had been since she sank that boat with Imogen that she had done anything that actually qualified as fun or mischievous. Mermaids should not be allowed to go more than a week without getting up to something that the landwalkers thought was wrong. Otherwise they were just like them with tails and the ability to breathe underwater. Plus, the landwalkers who used those wheeled chairs clearly did not know how to have fun with them or else they would have been crashing them into the river and lake by now. If that had happened then it would not have taken Charlene near as long to go ahead with this. That and it was just more fun when other mermaids were involved.
But if Cloelia brought any of that disgusting human drink that had made her head hurt she was leaving it in place of the landroller. Or giving it to Nixie. Dark eyes brightening she decided that she was going to have to ask the blonde mermaid where she had found that bottle because it suddenly seemed like just the sort of thing that her sister needed to have on hand all of the time. It might keep her from being so touchy. Or what was that word she had heard Roxy use... bitchy?
