I wanna tell your soul before the sun goes down -
Who: Liliya and Via
Where: University of Michigan campus - classical concert
When: Later evening
Warning: Goes NSFW
The debate had gone off well. Liliya could not have expected it to go better and it could have gone worse. As expected there had been more people supporting her than Calvert. And also as expected it had not gone much past eight-thirty so she had more than enough time to escape the crowds and send Naoki on his way home before slipping off to meet Via in Ann Arbor. Just meeting her at one of their homes would have been easier and erased the need for one of them to drive but that would have also been a touch more of a risk than she was willing to take. Even if she was exhilarated after her success, actually smiling when she pulled into the moderately crowded parking lot. Via should not be all that hard to spot.
Leaning back against her seat, Liliya took a long drink from the bottle of blood that she had kept in her purse. Naoki’s was just what she needed to wash away the last little bits of doubt that might be lingering about the debate and soothe her nerves about being on what basically qualified as a date. It would not appear that way to anyone else hopefully but she knew. When was the last time I went on a date? Before she had been turned, before she had been engaged to Alex even. How to act was something that she knew, she had to act like it was nothing more than being out with a friend, but still... it just seemed different. Though being nervous was rather impossible with angelic blood flowing in her veins.
Via rarely drove places by herself, in fact it was almost as rare as when she was without make-up. But tonight Via had decided that she’d take herself down to Ann Arbor to meet up with Liliya instead of paying someone to take her to the next town over. Her Vionnet dress fit in all the right places but she still maintained an air of class. There was nothing more unappealing than someone at the theater wearing everyday clothes. She immediately noticed Liliya’s car as it drove into the parking lot and a smile appeared on her face. Her heels clicked on the pavement and she walked up to Liliya’s car, rapping lightly on the window. She’d suggested a concert because it seemed to have been the type of venue where she felt most at peace, the elongated stanzas in instrumental poetry, absolute concentration, and Liliya there with her would put her fast paced mind at ease.
As the window of the car descended Via smirked and leaned into it. “Hello beautiful, how was the debate?” She was sure that Liliya probably had a great deal to say about the debate. Via might have showed up but aside from the suggestiveness of her gaze she got stuck on the phone all night trying to figure out what happened to an entire shipment of scarves on the way to London. Sometimes she didn’t know how year after year it seemed that simple things could be so often ruined and still have the same mistakes coming back to her day after day. But that was what happened with having humans work for her, they never seemed to learn. Liliya’s gorgeous face instantly made her troubles melt away.
Liliya had been a touch surprised when she had not seen Via at the debate, but then she supposed that politics were not interesting to everyone. Even if she felt like all of the Cyri should have been there she could make due with just one; Elizaveta seemed like the sort to show up to all of the important things. Of course Eric could not come, he had gone and gotten himself crucified. “Oh, the debate went well,” Liliya responded easily, motioning for Via to step back so that she could roll the window back up and step out herself. “Calvert proved to be just the idiot that I’ve always known he is but as always, even idiots have their supporters.” She rolled her shoulders and picked off a stray piece of hair before smiling down at Via.
“And what were you so busy with tonight that kept you from coming to the debate?” Liliya asked after locking her doors and pocketing her keys. She felt a sense of calmness that had almost completely come from the blood. “Not that I mind, mind you, it was not obligatory I had just hoped to see you there.”
Via had truly felt bad for not being able to show up to the debate as she had actually made plans to but when duty called she was not the type to ignore it. “I wanted to be there.” she stated, looking over Liliya as she stepped out of the car. As per usual she looked absolutely stunning and it took a great deal of willpower for Via not to stand on her toes and press a kiss to Liliya’s lips. No, they were not in the privacy of either of their homes and so Via would have to behave. Lately, Via felt somewhat detached from the family, she hadn’t even met Elizaveta yet and had only seen Eric when she’d pass the church. Then again, there was plenty of time to do that and the more time spent with someone like Liliya was better worth her time anyway.
“But I had some business to attend to. They lost an entire shipment on the way overseas and it took me all night to track down.” She felt bad that she wasn’t there to support Liliya and wondered if Liliya was bothered by that fact but didn’t ask because she didn’t think it mattered. They were together now and would have the rest of the evening to be so.
Liliya nodded at Via’s explanation, which was a good and reasonable one. She was not quite enough of a child to pitch a fit over something so small. Business needed to be taken care of after all. “But did you manage to track down what was lost after all?” Liliya asked, turning towards the building. It was easy for her to fall into the role of someone who was just out with a friend, not looking at Via any longer than she would anyone else nor standing too close to her. Things like this came as naturally as pretending to enjoy Naoki’s company when they were in public did. Only this was perhaps more important because the last thing she needed was some story about how she had gone out on a date with a woman. Just something to relax after the debate or I’d never get to sleep tonight.
Via noted Liliya’s appearance and the way she regarded Via, and she did her best to do the same. “I did, although it took me yelling on the phone with some cheeky postal worker who finally found it after he practically hung up on me. I swear, these days no one seems to understand the sense of pride involved in doing business. I can’t believe the way I was treated.” Yes, Via happened to be one of those consumers who would take offense at any kind of remark that didn’t help her to her ultimate goal. She looked behind her at the theater that was lit up and smiled at it. She was excited to be able to relax to the music. She turned and began to walk, motioning Liliya to come with so that they could get to their seats. Sure, she could spend the whole concert wrapped up in conversation with Liliya, but she’d gotten the tickets and wanted to listen to the music. “I’m starting to think that I need someone to be on the phone for me. My head can’t take all of the talk.” she added, although that really wasn’t going to happen, she had to do something for herself.
People always tended to be more rude over the phone and Liliya was sure that it had something to do with the fact that no one could see them. In person they had to act differently because they were right there. Over the phone? Completely different story and irritated workers could almost always get away with acting however they pleased. She knew that Ashley was the slightest more bold over the phone than when Liliya was actually there with her. All a matter of perspective. “They would’ve been more polite had they seen you, I’m sure.” Also true - appearance could dictate behavior and Via was beautiful. “And that’s why you have an assistant, isn’t it?” The one who probably gave out your address for whoever gave you flowers. Liliya was not quite over that just yet, no matter how much angel blood she had in her system. “Make them do things like that while you listen in, make sure they’re doing it correctly.” She would stop speaking when they were in their seats, certain that the music would be worth it.
Via smiled a bit at that and if she were human she might have blushed, but luckily for her that was something that she only did if she wanted to. As they made their way up to the door it was clear that most of the couples that were here tonight were around her age, possibly even slightly younger. Maybe it was an outdated activity but she loved it and she hoped that Liliya might too. At the door she handed the two tickets to the clerk and waltz inside. “Yes and no, a lot of business requires me to prove myself, that I’m actually running things, otherwise people think I just let someone else do the work and put my name all over it.” she declared with a little bit of a giggle, as if that were just preposterous. It was for Via, even if it happened in any number of designs in the fashion industry. It was a nice theater, for a university they’d clearly put a great deal of their funding into building it, but it seemed like over the years it had one too few renovations. “Thank you for coming with me,” she looked up at Liliya, her eyes sincere. Liliya didn’t have to be seen in public with her, and even if she was forced to act like a mere friend, she felt good about just spending her time with Liliya. She couldn’t begin to hold back the looks she gave to Liliya, but she’d mind where her hands were at all times.
Liliya knew she was young for this sort of thing, as evidenced by those around her and even Via herself, but she did not mind. She had always been young for a lot of the things that she did and it never actually bothered her. “Ah, well, in that case I only hope that they’ll stop making things difficult for you. I’d hate to think of you worried and flustered all of the time.” Flustered, actually she could handle that, provided she was the one doing the flustering. Glancing down at Via she smiled, catching the look in her eyes. You can’t look at me like that. Because she had to look away before she caught herself staring. Think about anything else until the music starts. “I’m glad that you invited me. I went to law school here not so long before I turned, it’s such a lovely campus.”
As they finally made it to their seats Via found hers quite easily and waited for Liliya to sit down next to her. Obviously no one here would imagine that these two were quite smitten unless by some amazing perceptive abilities they managed to catch Via looking at Liliya, but somehow she felt altogether marvelous to be seen with someone as beautiful and commanding in presence as Liliya. Even as only a seeming acquaintance, Liliya quite literally looked as if she’d owned the place and for Via, although she wouldn’t admit it until much later on, it was a huge turn-on. “Did you ever come to this theater or were you too buried in your books to have any fun?” she asked with a little bit of a smirk, just to see if maybe Liliya could recall any wild times she might have had in her college years. Via herself never went to college, she hadn’t even finished high school and in that regard she only wished to live vicariously through Liliya’s memories.
“I was too buried in my books,” Liliya replied with an easy smile. Angelic blood and winning a debate - for she had won and nothing anyone said on the matter would change her mind - added onto a night out with Via was enough to make her mood considerably lighter than normal. “Involved in this and that activity... though I bleached my hair back then.” She tugged lightly at one of her dark brown locks, remembering the paleness that had been there. As they settled in she leaned in, eyes on the stage, and murmured a confession she could not remember making since her turning. And then only because Maureen had asked. “I got a tattoo then, isn’t it silly?” Had Via noticed that? College had been an... interesting time, though truly Liliya had spent more time focused on her classes and various activities than the party scene.
Almost as soon as she said it the lights began to dim and a smirk came to Via’s lips. She leaned over and whispered into Liliya’s ear so that only her ears could hear. “I always knew there was a wild girl in the there, yearning to break free.” and as the orchestra began to quickly tune their instruments, the lights down low now, Via let her pinky graze Liliya’s in the slightest way so that she could at least show the tiniest bit of affection. Tonight the orchestra was playing a collection of Schumann pieces, which were marvelously executed by a well-taught orchestra and Via relaxed to the sound of lulling music that brought her to a time when all she listened to were records of Schumann, Beethoven, and Schubert. Indeed as the music flowed out into the audience, Via felt as if she were reliving a memory of a time when she didn’t worry about the things that plagued society, in a memory of a time where she just lived, so to speak of course.
If not for the fact that it took extra effort and thought, then Liliya would have flushed at that. She had never been a wild girl, the tattoo and bleached hair had just been things she honestly wanted to do. “If there is one of those,” she murmured back, eyes on the orchestra. “She comes out when we’re alone.” Her eyes darted down to where Via’s hand was only slightly brushing against hers. It was a good thing that she could not feel heat, and that Via did not give it off, or it would have made her fidget. As it was she had to remind herself that she was listening to something. Something that was absolutely beautiful and soothing. It’s dark, no one is looking at us. Eyes still forward, giving no outward indication that she was doing anything, Liliya slipped her hand over Via’s. “This is beautiful.”
“Schumann is lovely isn’t he?” she merely stated, supposing that question could be left unanswered. There was a lot that she had yet to share with Liliya, a lot of words and feelings and ambitions to share with her but just sitting next to her, sharing minimal words and enjoying music together seemed almost as exciting to her than those interesting and intense conversations they would have. A whisper to her ear was sudden maybe but she thought to say it anyhow. “But he is nothing compared to you.” she said, hands covering her lips to press a quick but sweet kiss on her cheek. Yes, this may have been against the rules, but Via felt as if she was being careful and well Liliya was the one who grabbed her hand after all. As she sat back down in her seat she tightened her grip in Liliya’s hand and listened as the music played on. It would be over soon, the concert itself would not be too long, but she enjoyed having Liliya next to her and would try to prolong it as long as possible.
Liliya nodded at the statement, her ears focused on the music. So much time had passed since she had just relaxed out in any sort of public setting with a soothing environment. Though she started a little at the sudden whisper, and the kiss that accompanied it. “Via,” she chided gently, shaking her head and trying to hide the smile that had sprung up at it. She did lean over a little and murmured an assurance. “You can kiss me later, all you want.” Right then though, she needed to be content to just hold her hand and Liliya thought that was offering a lot for her. Liliya was really going to have to thank Via for bringing her here. It was thoughtful and wonderful and so not what she was used to doing at all. Even if she found herself wishing it could carry on forever so that she did not have to go back to the real world - a little moment of escapism that she was sure would pass soon.
A smile also formed on Via’s face as she listened intently to the music, closing her eyes as the music seemingly flowed through her lifeless body. Liliya’s insistence to behave only made her want to misbehave of course, but she knew what was at stake and was not willing to let go of Liliya, not yet anyway. As the music came to a slow end Via secretly wished that it would continue on longer but alas it was over within only moments and Via quietly let her hand go as the lights began to rise for the audience. Enthusiastically she clapped her hands. It really had been very well done and she was proud that the university was putting pride into some of their arts programs. She didn’t stand yet though, as people were shuffling out of the auditorium she wanted to sit there still so that they could slowly exit without being sped up by the people behind them. “Thank you for coming with me.” she said, even though Via hadn’t bothered to show up at her debate.
“Thank you for bringing me,” Liliya returned with a smile, rolling her shoulders more out of habit than anything else. Human habits were hard to let go of even though she had been dead for over a decade. “It was nice to get out with you. I haven’t been on anything resembling a date... since... I can’t remember when, but I know I was alive.” Stilling herself again she turned a little so that she could look at Via. Ignoring the people filtering out was easy, Liliya had learned how to tune things out years ago. “Would you like to get something to drink, maybe?”
A smile came to Via’s face as she finally opened her eyes again. She turned to look at Liliya, her smile growing wider and her teeth coming down to bite lightly on her lower lip. A nod of her head allowed her to lift herself up from the seat. “Yes, I would love to.” she said, wanting to pull Liliya right out of the seat and give her a kiss but alas she knew that wasn’t going to happen. Instead, she moved into the aisle, awaiting Liliya to take her to where the drinks might be served. She didn’t bother to ask, but she trusted herself in Liliya’s hands, as she felt like she might always. She had definitely gotten underneath Via’s skin and stayed with her even when she wasn’t there with her, and Via wasn’t entirely ready to stop thinking about Liliya in all the ways she desired. “Lead the way Ms.” Mrs. “Kennedy.”
Liliya, for one, enjoyed being called Ms. Kennedy far more than Mrs. because in her own mind that was exactly what she was. Her name had not changed when she got married and nor would she have allowed it to. She was a Kennedy, plain and simple, and Naoki had needed to take her name instead of the other way around. Plus, it was hard to actually think of herself as married in any sense of the word since it was just what everyone termed as a brilliant political move. So many people thought it was wonderful and potentially heart-breaking that a vampire was married to a human... some also thought it was illegal but Liliya would be happy to take that on. She was no lawyer, true, but she had some working for her and they always needed things to do. Why am I thinking about that? Smiling down at Via she headed for the door behind the majority of the crowd, not feeling rushed at all. “I would suggest Heme but for the fact that after the debate, I don’t much feel like having to discuss it with other vampires who might have been.” A fair few number had been there for that matter and Liliya meant it, she did not want to deal with any of them. Nor did she want it to be noted that she arrived some time later with, not her husband, but Via. Liliya paused for a moment before looking over at the other Cyri. “My office is not far from here and I have a little fridge I keep stocked for if I have to stay late. And guaranteed to be empty, what with the debate no one was working late. If you’d come there?”
“That sounds like a fabulous idea.” Via agreed and for the truth of the matter she didn’t want Lilya’s attention to be taken up by random vampires, she was selfish and wanted her all to herself. “Besides, I think it might be interesting to see where you work. There’s something very personal about a work space.” Of course Via’s own workspace, the mess that it tended to be it with sketches and swatches of clothe scattered about everywhere. Via’s creative process left no space for organization nor of any solid organized idea until she had finished. Following her out of the auditorium, Via wished she could remember what it was like to feel alive again, really alive but being around Liliya seemed almost as if she could accomplish it. She could only imagine how concise and organized Liliya’s work space must have been, she could see it in her personality.
Liliya did not view her workspace quite as personal enough to warrant keeping people out since she needed to have them there. It was part of being a politician and if she wanted privacy then that was what her office at home was for. The only people who went in there were ones she invited specially and those were very, very rare. “Nothing too special about my office,” Liliya admitted as she led her way towards her car, not even thinking to ask if Via wanted to drive. She could always bring her back later to pick it up when they were done. Unlocking the doors she slipped into the driver’s seat and buckled up before heading for her office. It was not too terribly far of a drive since Ann Arbor was not overly large. Pulling out her keys she stepped towards one of the side doors. It led right into her assistant's office. “See? All dark, not that it matters that much to us since we can still see.” Being a vampire did have its advantages. But once she reached her office she flicked the light on and headed for the small fridge, kneeling down in front of it. “Taste for anything in particular, Via?”
“I’ll have what you’re having.” she proclaimed and took her time, noticing the details of the office. Liliya might not have thought it was anything spectacular, but to Via it was interesting. She wasn’t disappointed in her accurate in that Liliya seemed to be very organized and for that Via was appreciative. Sure, being too organized could be downright annoying, she admired a woman who was able to sort out her life without any help from anyone else. “You know I think that Scarlet Oak is starting to grow on me. I thought I’d never be able to let myself out of my fast-paced city life that it was just where I’m meant to be but I’ve been feeling so much more relaxed just being somewhere where I don’t have to be on the move constantly.” she said as she made her way over to Liliya. Her hand lightly touched the small of Liliya’s back as she stood back up and smiled. “You might have helped in that department.”
Hmm... and what did Liliya want? She had already had more than enough angelic blood even for the addict that she was. Perhaps a little bit of fire would be nice. Nodding to herself she selected the small bottle and rose. A smile touched her lips at the feel of Via’s hand and she turned slowly, tilting her head down at the other Cyri. “I’m glad that you’ve found Scarlet Oak to be to your liking after all, Via, I’d be sad if you felt like you had to leave so soon.” Surprisingly, she actually meant that. She would miss Via because somehow, at some point, she had allowed herself to become quite attached to the little Cyri who was older than her. “You know,” she mused as she turned again to pick out two glasses, half-filling each of them. One did not need too much fire elemental blood to feel the effect. “Most people would never dare come so close to me in my office. There’s a rumor one intern started that said I would snap someone’s neck if that happened.” She laughed quietly and turned again, offering the second glass to Via as she sipped from her own. “Isn’t that silly?” Even if it really was not because Liliya would, if the circumstances called for it, do exactly that.
Via felt safe in her position, felt safe that she didn’t have to worry about Liliya snapping her neck, she’d trusted her life in the other vampires hands because she’d felt a strong and intimate bond between them. “I think that you’re a strong woman and that a little intimidation is good for people. It’s really just a drag when they step out of line and try to challenge you, you’ve got to keep them in their place.” she said, and she meant it. Via wasn’t kind to any of her employees, in fact, most of them attributed to her vampire status as the reason why she didn’t have a heart. She took the glass and sipped from it, noticing immediately what Liliya had chosen. Something different, she thought, but it was still quite nice. “So are you going to snap my neck off?” she asked, merely as a tease, leaning into Liliya to press a kiss to her cold lips.
Of course Liliya would not snap Via’s neck. She was rather fond of the older Cyri and even if she had not been, Via was of her Family. Liliya knew that she had to keep them around no matter what she might think of them because they would forever be of at least some use to her. “I haven’t had anyone in my office, or from our Family, really try to challenge me since I was turned,” Liliya said thoughtfully, “or before for that matter.” People just reacted well to her and did as she said for some reason. Grinning at Via’s question she was about to pretend to think about it when she felt the chilled lips against her own. Though thanks to the blood starting to spread through her veins she could actually feel the chill and a little shiver ran down her spine. “Mmm, no, I think I like you with your head still on your shoulders.” She touched a hand lightly against Via’s side before glancing back at the door into the hall. No, just as dark as before.
“That’s good, I quite like using my head too.” she said with a smirk, bringing her free hand up to Liliya’s cheek where she let it rest. “And maybe a little ..” she leaned up and licked Liliya’s lips of the blood still fresh on them. “...a little challenge is exactly what you need.” There was a challenge in the statement itself, a challenge to Liliya to be who she wanted to be around Via, to just let go. As her hand caressed Liliya’s cheek she thought of the way she looked when she slept and how Via was anxious to see her that way again, utterly unedited in the way she just was. Via truly adored Liliya for that, and although she wasn’t likely to admit it, she was already head over heels for Liliya. She didn’t seem to care that there were time restrictions or that if somebody per chance decidedly to stay extra late tonight they would not stumble onto the two of them, she just cared that this beautiful, intelligent and successful woman had her hand on Via’s side.
Challenge? Liliya perked an eyebrow up at that. At first her mind leaped right to the idea of a challenge to the position that she filled and her neck stiffened until she realized that Via probably was talking about something else. Especially with that little lick, which Liliya had no problem taking advantage of by stealing another kiss. Via’s lips were possibly the smoothest that she had ever felt and for some reason, she had yet to get enough of them. Or of her in general. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time for someone like her who preferred to not attach to anyone or anything past her job. Even Naoki, who she had been living with and feeding from for quite a bit of time was still just someone else. A convenient means to an ends that she would prefer not living without but the thought of him gone did not upset her greatly. There were other angelic-blooded witches in the world. But the thought of Via leaving Scarlet Oak gave her cause to pause. “Are you challenging me, Sylvia Cohen?” she asked, voice closer to a purr when she smoothed her fingers down over Via’s hip and around, tugging her closer. “Hmm?”
“I might just be.” she said with a grin, drinking down the rest of the blood quite quickly as she felt it rush through her. Setting the glass down on Liliya’s desk, she brought her free arm around Liliya’s shoulder to rest at the back of her neck. She couldn’t help but want to touch Liliya even if it had only merely been days since they’d seen each other done this last. She jumped a little as she was pulled closer but only to show her appreciation. “I could challenge you all night if you do so desire.” she said, but this time she wasn’t really paying much attention to the words she was speaking, just at the way Liliya’s ips were so close to her own that it was almost a waste not to take them in a kiss right then and there. As she broke the kiss she pretended to think for a moment when she smirked. “Oh yes, Challenge one, I challenge you to ignore my advances.” she stated. “I’m quite curious how well you can control yourself.” she said, and at that she let go of Liliya, holding on by a singular hand as she stood back.
All night, hmmm... Liliya would be a liar if she said she did not like the sound of that. Even if they were in her office and the last time she had done anything in her office was with that one intern who she had then sent off to Lansing. Her reply was lost when Via kissed her and she had to take a moment to try and remember it. Only to find that it had actually become rather irrelevant with what Via was now proposing. “Ignore your advances... now while I don’t see why I would ever want to do that I think you’ll be surprised at how well I can do.” Giving a squeeze to Via’s hand she then let go and crossed her arms over her chest to help and aid in her not-touching-right-now. Arching an eyebrow she tilted her head and waited.
Via smirked at the challenge and stepped back, moving her hands up to her neck she removed her necklace and placed it on the desk. That of course wasn’t what she was ending with, now she moved her hands down to her back where she began to unbutton her dress. As it came slowly undone, her smirk grew and she peeled the dress off her shoulders and let it drop to the ground. “You see I have this theory, that you are in fact quite distracted by me.” she said, stepping out of it and forward to Liliya. She lightly pressed her fingers against Liliya’s skin and stepped on her tip toes to get to Liliya’s height where she hovered her lips above the other vampires. “Are you sure you can handle this?” she asked with a wide grin now.
How was she not supposed to be distracted by that? Via had been a model before she was a designer and her body screamed that she deserved to have been that and that she could still be one without any trouble. Liliya felt herself lick her lips as she watched, though her cool mask remained and her arms were crossed over her chest still. This was some sort of a challenge and she could not just give in like she was some teenager who had never seen a woman naked before. But her skin feels lovely and I know what she can do with that mouth. The one that was just right there.... no, no she was resisting that. “I’m sure that I can handle whatever you can do,” Liliya returned, voice a slow drawl as she resisted so much as moving in response to Via that close. “Won’t it hurt your ego if I don’t respond?”
“Shh.” she said as Liliya was doing the opposite of ignoring her. Of course she knew that while Liliya may have thought she was up for the challenge, Via was willing to do just about anything and well HOPED that she wouldn’t ignore her or else Via may as well have lost her talent. She leaned her head into Liliya’s neck, and pressed her lips to it, allowing her mouth to open and her teeth to drag along the dead skin. Her hands smoothed over Liliya’s shoulders and she kissed down Liliya’s chest which was still clothed. “The point of you ignoring me, is that you ignore me completely, don’t lose the game so quickly.” she said with a grin and brushed her fingertips against Liliya’s chest. Her arms were still in the way but she figured with some maneuvering she could easily find the spot that made Liliya’s arms drop to their sides.
Completely. I can do that, Liliya informed herself. Though it was impossible to not be aware of the fact that she had a gorgeous model hanging off of her, lips against her skin. And while she was still wearing the outfit that she had shown off in front of the cameras her eyes had taken the liberty to remind her that Via was wearing a considerable amount less. And looked extremely good in it. Amazing even. Not saying anything about it, lips zipped, don’t move, pretend she’s not there... The shiver that ran through her body was completely involuntary, as was the way her eyes fluttered. Those lips were brushing near a very sensitive part of her body even if there was a layer of cloth in the way. Please keep going. No, she was not saying it, not responding. It was like ignoring a taunt.
Via’s hands moved to trail down Liliya’s sides as her kisses descended the length of her clothed body. Down her sternum and to her belly, her hands finally rested on Liliya’s hips and her fingers began to force themselves underneath the lining of her pants. She didn’t think it would take long for Liliya to cave, even if so far she had done a very pleasant job of ignoring her, once she’d gotten to a certain point she was sure that there was no way in hell Liliya would be even able to ignore her. Of course, ultimately, Via wanted Liliya’s attention lavished on her like she had done so many times before, but for now she was comfortable in the idea that deep inside Liliya was dying to touch Via. As her lips reached the mid point, right above Liliya’s pants, she lifted her blouse lightly off her skin and pressed her lips against the bare skin beneath. It was one of her favorite spots on Liliya’s body and she concentrated her attention to it.
It was not killing her to not fix her eyes on Via and what she was doing - because she was already dead. And yes, that was the only reason she was able to act like there was nothing happening to her. Her pulse could not race, but her skin was flushing and she completely and totally laid the blame for that at the feet of the fire elemental blood she had been so eager to drink. Otherwise there would have been no reaction and everything would have been so much easier. But as it was... Her fingers twitched slightly when she felt Via’s smooth lips against her skin and she very nearly sighed. So it had only been a handful of days since she had last seen the other Cyri, so what? Liliya’s body did not seem to care all that much about specifics like that. She really just wanted for the game to be over but for that to happen she would need to lose and that was not something that she ever did. Or at least not willingly. She could still think whatever she wanted and currently that meant imagining all of the things that she was going to do the moment that the game was over.
Via didn’t stop there, oh no she didn’t dare stop there. She let her hands slide up Liliya’s shirt, trying to loosen her grip over her chest so that Via could feel how on edge Liliya actually was. But if she was ignoring Via, there was no way she could move her hands. So, to encourage her to release her arms, her fingers pressed and massaged the skin underneath and she let out, just to tease Liliya, she let out a soft moan. “Oh Liliya, I’m so upset that you’re ignoring me. I suppose I should just stop what I’m doing since you wont pay any attention to me.” she said, only in a playful manner. She let her hands slide down and she stood, taking her lips off of Liliya’s abdomen. She sighed and brushed her hair behind her shoulders. “I suppose you just don’t like me.” she said, softly and began to walk toward her dress to put it back on.
That was the farthest thing from fair that Liliya had ever experienced. Not reacting to something that felt so good was one thing, but having the source just start to walk away like that? Was not what Liliya had anticipated at all and she did not approve of it. Biting at her lip when Via turned away she let out a sigh that she did not even need to give and reached out to catch Via’s wrist, stepping up behind her to press her lips against Via’s shoulder, eyes closed. “I want to stop playing that game now,” she informed her simply, moving her lips up to that spot behind her ear that she enjoyed for some reason. “I want you to keep doing what you were... please.” Her voice was quiet because she was unused to asking for something like that but she did want it. Very much.
A smirk immediately changed Via’s supposedly ‘hurt’ face into that of a sly winner. She moaned as she felt Liliya come up behind her and tilted her head into the touches. There was something so natural about the way they were around each other that Via sometimes wondered if she was willing to go days without seeing her or if the immediate satisfaction of seeing Liliya every day was something she’d strive for. She turned around to look Liliya in the eyes, and stood there for a moment, losing herself in the bottomless pools of her retinas. “You should know...” she spoke quietly her head tilting up to Liliya’s. “..that I’m yours. I don’t want anybody else in my life, they’d all sorely disappoint me compared to you.” she spoke candidly, all the while fiddling with her blouse so that she could achieve the level of nudeness that Via had already.
Liliya could not see Via’s face, but she felt the change in the other Vyri’s posture. Even losing this little game was worth it to see her turn around and just look at her like that. That look was one she had not seen anywhere else and it was almost hard to see, like she was a little afraid of it. And hearing her say those things... “You’re mine?” Liliya repeated, half a question as she watched Via toy with her blouse. Her own fingers slid down along Via’s bare sides, stopping at her hips when she leaned in to kiss the corner of her mouth lightly. “I like the way that sounds.” Possessive to a fault, she could not deny that the idea of Via touching someone else like this or looking at them like that made her blood fairly boil. “I want to keep you...” She caught at her bottom lip before brushing those lips in fluttering kisses all over Via’s face. “Do you want me to take that off?” Her eyes went down to indicate the blouse the other woman was toying with.
“Yes, please.” she said, and stepped back a bit to allow Liliya to remove her own blouse. At this point Via took off her headband and removed the band from her hair. When she returned to Liliya she helped her blouse off of her body so that she could quickly be able to devour what was beneath her shirt. Everybody part of her body seemed to scream for Liliya and she hoped that Liliya’s body did the same because she enjoyed giving it attention. “I don’t like it when you ignore me, you should never do it again.” she protested, as if Liliya had chosen to ignore her rather than to have been challenged. She of course understood that in some very certain circumstances that she would have to be ignored by Liliya, that was just the way it was when it came to politics and she’d have to get over that, but when they were alone she hoped her attention would be satisfied with just Via.
Liliya’s hands gripped the bottom of her shirt and she started to tug it up. But before she could manage to get it off Via was back and helping her. “Mmm, you wanted me to,” Liliya pointed out, stroking her fingers along the smooth skin of Via’s hips. So convenient that she had already removed so much of her clothes. Not that she had really had all that much on, a dress was always easier to get rid of than a full outfit like hers. Her nails dug lightly into Via’s hips and she leaned down, sighing a breath she had not needed to take against Via’s ear. “And I’m feeling remarkably compliant tonight, so I was just going to do as I was told.” Even if they were in her office, she felt like she deserved a little bit of a break from decisions and such after the debate. Her fangs nipped lightly at the lobe, remembering how Via had enjoyed that.
“That’s good because I’m feeling particularly capable of barking orders this evening.” she teased as she let out a soft moan in response to her ear being nipped at. Via had a million ideas of what they could do alone in her office. She found herself pushing lightly on Liliya, so as not to force her but merely position her in the place that she wanted. She left her sitting on the corner of the desk with her legs around Via’s hips. “You know the entire performance I was thinking about how I feel around you, even when we’re not getting undressed and having amazing sex..” although those were definitely worthy of remembering and recalling frequently. He hands reached for Liliya’s pants undoing the button so that she could slide them off her legs. “...there’s this sense of calm that you stir in me.” she finished although ‘calm’ seemed like the entirely wrong adjective after she’d already said it.
“Your voice is all wrong for barking,” Liliya teased back. Okay, this whole scenario was completely new. For one, Via was a vampire and Liliya had never had one of those in her office with less-than-noble intentions that she was aware of. And for two she was seated on her desk while Via finished undressed her. It was kind of nice, actually, and she voiced her approval with a quiet moan, arms slipping around Via’s neck just because she was there and impossible to resist touching. “I make you feel calm?” she questioned, tilting her head a little. “Funny, because you make me feel... peaceful, almost like angelic blood, and tense all at the same time because I don’t know how well I can control myself.” Take the performance, she had actually held Via’s hand at her own instigation. She would not have believed herself capable of such a thing had someone said she would and yet, there it was. Leaning in she pressed her lips against Via’s, breaking the kiss to confess, “part of me doesn’t want to.” Another kiss, maybe Via would not remember her saying these things if she kissed her enough. “You’re too beautiful to just be hidden behind closed doors.” But she had to be. Liliya’s career demanded it.
Via’s gaze softened as she listened to Liliya go on about how beautiful she was. It didn’t matter how many times she said it, it still felt like a chemical surged through her body every time Liliya complimented her. “Well then part of you shouldn’t.” she teased, positioning herself in between Liliya’s legs pressing her lips against Liliya’s neck. “I think you’ve worn yourself out, being in control all of the time.” her voice was low, calm and practically instructing Liliya. She let her fangs drag along the skin of her neck and reached around to remove the bra Liliya had obviously made sure to wear for the debate. “Just let me take care of you tonight.” her whisper was soft and she let her breathe glide along Liliya’s neck as she spoke. There were only so many ways to assure a politician whose daily job was to stress out over the problems of a large group of people.
Never once had Liliya entertained the notion that maybe, just maybe, she spent too much time in charge or this or that and that, if she did not slow down, it would burn her out. She had been nearing that line no matter how much she denied it to herself. But the addition of Via, who was originally supposed to be nothing more than another Cyri, had helped her quite a bit with that. Liliya did not realize how much Via’s presence calmed her and kept her mind from burning out from focusing on nothing other than business, business, business. “Please take care of me,” Liliya agreed, voice practically a purr as she leaned her head back, one hand back against the desk just to keep herself braced. “Just so long as you don’t stop touching me.”
“Deal.” she stated kissing at her clavicle and looking up only to make sure that Liliya seemed to be gaining pleasure from what she was doing. Her kisses trailed down Liliya’s chest and stopped at one of her breasts, letting her tongue lap at the nipple, swirling it around it. They continued to extend down the length of her torso, finally stopping just above the hem of her panties as she pulled them down her legs. But as her panties were off instead of diving head first into Liliya, Via stood again, reaching behind her back to unhook the lace embroidered lingerie bra, slowly taking it off for Liliya’s eyes and dropping it to the floor. When it was time to slide off her panties, she did so, stepping out of them and forward to Liliya. She straddled one leg of Liliya’s and smirked. “I’m thinking something a little different tonight.” she said, leaning into suck kisses to Liliya’s neck.
Liliya groaned when she felt Via’s lips moving down her body and stopping at one breast, arching her back slightly in an encouraging motion. Though when Via stood back up she made a noise of disapproval and would have sulked if not for what Via had begun doing right after that. Her teeth caught at her lower lip while she watched Via undress, unable to keep her hands from going out to her waist when she stepped back in to straddle her. “Don’t leave marks,” she said in a murmured warning. True they would not last long like any sort of injury but that did not mean she wanted them for even a little because what if they persisted just long enough for Naoki to see? Her worries only lasted a moment because, marks or no, it felt wonderful and she could feel her skin heating in response. “Different? Hmmmm, and what type of different is it that you’re thinking of, beautiful?”
“Shh, if I told you it would ruin the surprise.” she stated, lifting her left leg so that it wrapped around Liliya’s waist. “Besides, that way you don’t have time to protest.” she teased and leaning forward a bit, closer to Liliya as she let her fangs tug lightly at Liliya’s earlobe. Via hadn’t exactly prepared anything per se but she had a clear idea of what she was doing now. She let her fingers reach between them and touched to feel how wet Liliya had gotten. Obviously Via hadn’t lost talent in her ability to make Liliya this way. She hummed near Liliya’s ear and bit down on her lips lightly. “Mm.” she let out as a soft moan before intertangling their legs together and pushing her hips up against Liliya’s so that they were skin to skin. Her gaze returned to Liliya’s as she did this and let her tongue force it’s way into Liliya’s mouth.
Implicating that she might need to protest caused one of Liliya’s eyebrows to arch and she very nearly made a protest. Not knowing what was going on had always been something that bothered her just a little bit. Maybe she could blame the fact that she was not actually bothered on the amount of angelic blood she had consumed throughout the night; or just on the fact that it was Via doing it. So she forced herself to relax and not think or worry about what was happening, the arm that she had draped over the other vampire’s shoulder curling when she felt her hand slip down between her legs. A groan slipped out at the feel of Via’s body pressing into hers like that she she tried so hard to keep her eyes open, though she failed after the kiss. Her body was tingling with warmth from the blood and even better, she could feel the warmth coming from Via as well. Her arm shifted again so that she could stroke her fingers against Via’s neck. “Keep going,” Liliya encouraged, unable to keep from saying something. Silence was not her virtue anymore than just relaxing and lying back was.
Via noted every reaction, making sure that she carefully positioned herself to make both hers and LIliya’s experience better. The best part about that was feeling Liliya’s skin against hers, a sensation that was both relieving and exciting. She concentrated on giving short yet somewhat legato kisses to Liliya. They all were separate kisses but they repeated in a fluid motion as they gained the rhythm of how her hips were moving. “You make me never want to stop.” she teased against Liliya’s lips and let a moan for herself slip out. The way Via’s skin reacted up against Liliya’s was like a chemical reaction, a natural mechanical function between two organisms, it much reminded her of the way she sometimes felt while she was around Liliya. There was something about her that brought out the best in Via.
The best thing about all of this was, in Liliya’s mind, the fact that it was not the first time. How long had it been since she had had anything more than a short fling that existed solely for the purpose of sex? Alex, her mind answered automatically as her body started to move in sync with Via’s. It had been since him then that Liliya had carried on for this long with anyone and that, for whatever reason, excited her. She was starting to learn what Via liked and what she did not like as much and more - she had gone on something very akin to a date with her. Right then she wanted nothing more than to press Via down against the desk and show her how much she appreciated how she made her feel; yet another surprise because Liliya had always cared more about what she got. “Then don’t,” she murmured, nipping at Via’s lower lip as she stopped bracing herself and leaned into the other vampire, trailing her now-free hand down between their bodies to toy with one of her breasts. “I could stay here with you all night.”
A surprised moan came from her lips as she felt Liliya’s fingertips toy with her breast. “Please do.” she pleaded, her arms coming to hang around Liliya’s shoulders. A loud cry soon followed as the movement started to pick up and Via could almost find that her body was doing it naturally. She pressed herself into Liliya’s body hoping that maybe if she did it their bodies would naturally converge and she would never have to leave the other vampire. Of course it was a silly thought, she didn’t actually want to be conjoined with Liliya, she just hoped at some point she could admit to her that in the span of less than 2 weeks she’d found that she was wishing never to leave Liliya, that was a giant step for someone like Via who rarely took those kinds of things lightly.
This was not so very different from something that Liliya had tried in college after Elise had seen something in one of her online comics, but it felt a lot different than she remembered. There was not so much awkward placing of limbs. Maybe that was because she and Via were older than that, more experienced, or because Liliya was not fighting against it in any way but rather letting her body respond as it wished. Which was definitely favorable towards all of the things that Via was doing. Hearing her cry out like that made it that much better and Liliya shifted her hand enough to dig her nails into Via’s shoulder. “All yours right now,” she promised, lips seeking out and finding the other vampire’s once more. Part of her had gone on the alert when Via cried out like that but there were no footsteps sounding so she dismissed her paranoia about someone else being there as exactly that - paranoia.
Via didn’t mind that Liliya had seemed to know what she was doing, she was after all a grown woman who had probably done a great deal in her life. Liliya was very good at what she was doing that Via had momentarily forgotten where she was at. She’d stopped talking, there was nothing more to say and it was becoming more difficult to get anything out because the moans came more frequently now. She didn’t stop of course and the nails in her back only proved to encourage her to make more, louder sounds. He hands grasping at Liliya’s back to feel as if she was holding on for her dear life. Her kisses to Via were so soft, so sweet, and Via wondered if she’d ever meet anybody who would be able to kiss quite like Liliya. She only dared to imagine that she’d be able to hold onto these feelings forever and that leaving her wasn’t an option for the future. So far, things only looked up, but she did get a shot of her jealousy monster that she kept usually at bay.
One thing that Liliya could definitely not say about Via was that she was a quiet lover. Oh no, the other vampire was quite liberal with her moans and cries. At home that was no problem because Naoki was deaf and Snowball did not know what they meant since the creature had never heard them before. Here there could be the slightest edge of panic at the thought of someone hearing. “You’re going to get me caught,” Liliya chided as she pulled away, trying to give a disapproving look that was ruined by a whimper of her own at the feel of Via’s smooth, slick skin against hers. But it was true, she could get her caught and that would be terrible... yet it was hard for her to focus on anything other than this. This was what she wanted and she let Via know it by digging her nails in even more and giving her an approving moan, pressing her lips back into hers. Just like this.
Via took note of what Liliya had said and vowed to be more quiet for the rest of the evening. It was going to be so difficult but she’d manage it. “Then keep my mouth occupied.” she said, although Liliya had gotten the right idea when she’d pushed her lips back to Via’s and she melted into the kiss. At this point her hips were moving in a way that she couldn’t control and she could feel herself come close to her climax. “Don’t stop.” she whispered, wanting so badly just to hold onto Liliya until she couldn’t very well hold on any longer. She wanted to be quiet for Liliya, she really honestly did, but it was practically impossible for her to control the way that Liliya made her feel. There was no one quite like her and Via’s body didn’t know how to control itself around her.
Now that was something that Liliya knew she was very capable of and she put a determined amount of work into making sure that Via’s mouth had a reason to not make any noise. Other than what was going on in her throat because that she had no control over at all. But that was okay, she liked making Via do that. Be uncontrolled, drive her to the edge and push her over... that was rapidly becoming Liliya’s drug almost as much as the angelic blood that she craved. It was not what she had expected at all when she first agreed to show the other Cyri around the city and now she was unable to express her delight that she had taken the ‘task’ on. Though she smirk against Via’s mouth when told not to stop. “Here I thought that you were the one in charge,” she teased, though focusing on that was hard with how her body was yearning and tensing, right at that line... “Just like that, Via, oh just like that.” Whether the movements were responsible, the sounds of Via’s voice or the feel of Via’s body was a good question that Liliya did not give a damn about. All she cared for was getting Via to that point and herself right along with her.
At this point Via couldn’t help herself she moaned loudly into Liliya’s mouth, she could feel that she was close. Via hadn’t expected to fall so easily especially not with another member of the family but the moment that she’d laid eyes on Liliya, she knew that there was something between them, something she hadn’t experienced in a long time if at all. She wondered how bothered Liliya seemed to be by the flowers. She didn’t dare say she suspected they were from her sire, that would make Liliya’s already apparently jealous nature even worse. That didn’t wrack her brain for long because in only a few moments time she could feel the final climax and released onto Liliya, not bothering to worry about how it might make a mess on her desk.
When she felt Via climax, Liliya’s body pressed up and only a moment later she followed suit, clinging tightly onto the other vampire’s body as she shifted to bury her mouth in her neck. Eyes squeezed shut as she trembled and shook up against her. This, this was the perfect way to end a night that had been wonderful in every other way. The debate had gone off without a hitch, the concert had been wonderful and this with Via had been more than that. There was really not much that she could have asked for that would have improved the quality of the night. “You...” she whispered when her body had calmed and she could focus again. Leaning back a little she reached up to brush back a piece of Via’s hair, palm on her cheek as she pressed her forehead to hers. “Still don’t cease to amaze me.” That someone else admired her, that someone else had sent her flowers, was something Liliya was deliberately trying to forget. Via said she had not encouraged such an action from someone and she wanted to believe her. “I’m stealing you. Keeping you in my house all day and I’ll just work from my office there. Send Naoki on a visit to his family.” Idle talk, she would not really. But it was a nice thought.
Via smirked at Liliya as she attempted to make some grand plan involving sending her husband away for a day. A little giggle came out as she held onto Liliya, letting her arms drape around the other woman’s hips. “You and I both know that’s not possible, silly.” she said and pulled Liliya closer to her, pressing a sweet little kiss on the tip of her nose. “Thank you for accompanying me, I know how much you had at stake, showing up in public like that and I’m happy that you trust me enough to know that I wouldn’t have my hands all over you.” Although she had wanted to then, she definitely wanted to, she had enough self control to behave in a public place. Through her years in the spotlight, Via had learned how to stay under the radar and have just the right amount of scandal without damaging her reputation. This was not the scandal she needed. She placed one more quick kiss on Liliya’s lips before leaning back and tilting her head. “I wish I could sleep next to you every day.” she said, her grin mutating into a frown.
“It was truly a pleasure and I’m glad you asked me,” Liliya replied. Had anything happened that she deemed inappropriate then they would have left, or at least she would have. As much as she enjoyed Via’s company - and that was a shocking amount - she was not willing to lose what she had gained in the debate to a scandal brought on by being caught out with someone else. And not only someone not her husband, but a woman. For whatever reason, Liliya was convinced that that was worse. Perhaps it was something that had been bred into her by her parents or just a thing that society had left as its mark on her, she would never know. But it was there all the same. It was there and it was in the way yet again. Sighing she let herself slip forward more off of the desk and, taking Via's hand to make sure she came along, moved over to one of the more comfortable chairs she had for when multiple people visited. Settling herself down she tugged Via into her lap and nuzzled into her neck, not ready to let go of her just yet. "I could... come over more." Naoki might say something but what was he going to do? Cry, probably. Like she cared about whether or not she hurt his feelings and with all that was happening in the area it could make sense that she was busier than normal. "And so could you. A close contact. I could think up a million reasons for you to be in my home that would never be questioned since the only person ever there is Naoki and he knows better." Liliya was stretching for reasons here and why? It could lead to potential trouble. Something could happen. Someone could find out. And yet seeing Via pout like that made Liliya want to do whatever was necessary to give her what she wanted. What's wrong with me? “How did you get under my skin?”
She brushed some stray hairs from Liliya’s face as they finally sat and smiled at the question. God knew how she got under Liliya’s skin. The fact was, in their first meeting, Via had almost thought Liliya to be stand-offish and didn’t think that she much liked Via. Maybe for now she was a momentary distraction for Liliya, but Via already knew that she wouldn’t easily forget Liliya. Such a strong and independent woman with such beauty, it was a wonder that Liliya didn’t just continue to ignore her and pass her off as a member of the family. “Easy.” she said, biting her bottom lip with her fangs. “I know the right buttons to push.” she simply stated as if it was a perfectly rational explanation. “You should come around more often, though, I could use you to model some of my designs, just so I can see how it falls on a woman like you.” Of course by that she meant a taller more slim woman. Via was perfectly capable of modeling her own designs but her body type wasn’t the same as every other woman in the world. “Well and you know, getting to see you.” she giggled, stealing a kiss from Liliya’s cold lips.
Pushing the right buttons was not an easy thing though and Liliya really, truly wanted to know how Via had managed to just get under her skin and stay there as she had. “You know,” she said thoughtfully, toying with Via’s hair. “There hasn’t been a woman I’ve slept with more than three times since Elise.” Elisa was safe to mention because she had already told Via about her. That was the rationalization that she was using. If Via already knew then telling her could not hurt anything more than it already had. She dipped her mouth in to claim several small kisses from Via's lips, which were impossibly addictive. "Which makes you the first. And the first I'd consider dressing up in pretty clothes for no purpose past modeling for." Her eyes were closed again and she felt her powers spring up for whatever reason to color her skin and give her the ability to actually blush. "Can I come home with you?" Had someone spiked her drink? Drugged her blood? Put something into the air at the debate with the purpose of making her act as though she had not a brain in her head? "Have you found a witch to cast a spell on me?" It was a teasing remark, though half-serious.
Via chuckled and shook her head. “No, I have not found a witch, and yes you most certainly can come home with me.” she said with a smirk. Although if things became too unbearable, Via might consider it. Of course, she didn’t forsee anything being bad with Liliya. All that she saw with Liliya was just a time for her to be herself. She sucked one more kiss to Liliya’s lips and Via reluctantly lifted herself off of Liliya to grab her dress off of the floor and lift it over her naked body. She could bother with the panties later, or rather not wear them at all since they just seemed to be heading back to Via’s place anyway. “I know it’s very hard to get up and go once you’ve been in my company..” she teased with a smirk. “...but the quicker we get out of here, the quicker you can curl up in my bed with me.” she offered with a smirk, grabbing at Liliya’s hand while simultaneously grabbing her underwear from the floor.
Sighing as Via moved, Liliya waited until she had tugged her dress on before moving for her own clothes. Which took a little more time, especially since she went ahead and insisted on the underwear and bra because... she had nowhere else to put them and how would it look if she walked out of her office holding those things in hand? Terrible. Even if no one was around she still thought of that and did not want to have to deal with it even a little bit. When Via reached for her hand, Liliya allowed her to take it, even giving a squeeze before she stepped towards the door. She could put away the glasses or have Ashley wash them tomorrow. “And that is the end and ultimate goal of everything that I’ve done tonight, of course,” she teased, brushing back a piece of Via’s hair before pulling herhand free and slipping out the door. “Working towards being there just like that.” No one could find fault in those words if they heard them. “Well, hurry up then, the company wouldn’t be as nice if I went on my own.”
