To Market, To Market
Who: Lucas, Patrick, Ravyn, Mal, Skylar, Mercy, and Theodore.
When: Saturday Morning
Where: Ann Arbor's Farmer's Market
If anyone thought that having to be up and ready at 8 AM on a Saturday during summer was annoying then they really didn't put too much consideration into how much else Lucas had to get done by that 8 AM pick-up time. He did actually get up early enough to get in a shower and get dressed before making sure that Patrick was at least working towards a state of consciousness. Lucas was going to be feeling bad if half the group was catching a nap on the way over considering he probably could have worked it a little later. For the general sake of everyone's comfort since he found out there would be five of them, he had managed to talk Annabelle out of her VW bus for the morning. Though it had come along with threats of things that sounded physically impossible should anything be damaged when he got back, and Lucas didn't put it past her though to figure out ways to twist his limbs as described. Hell hath no fury like a born bitch whose backseat was broken. He didn't think anyone would do anything of the sort but it was extra incentive to drive carefully. Not that he really needed it, but threats were rather effective in making him want his tail if only to stick it between his legs to protect himself. He had promised to bring her back something from the market though. That had to count for something.
Lucas had to thank his Mom for even suggesting the idea. It had only been a passing mention of wanting to go get some things there that had put the idea in his head to offer to just go get it all for her, borrow the car and take some friends along to make a morning of it as long as he was going. She wanted to make sure though that he went and didn't just wait for Sunday when it would be a fair number of the same vendors with whatever they couldn't sell from today. It was only logical that you wanted first pick as they weren't likely going to hold a bunch of stuff back or have more to harvest when they got home. If Leanne Marrok wanted the best that they had to offer, it was going to involve the short trip to Ann Arbor to make sure she had it. Plus it was actually going to be a nice day today. He didn't need to borrow a vehicle to run people around in and then have it smelling like wet pony, any less wet dog.
It had before, but that was beside the point.
Patrick had gotten asked to come along when Lucas found out he was going to be taking Ravyn, Skylar and Sky's new friend. A car with three girls wouldn't be quite so worrisome if he had his twin along to help keep things on a more even keel. He was just a little curious as to who exactly this girl was that had become fast friends with Skylar so fast. Probably a good thing, but weird. Ravyn was first on the pick up, Lucas having brought his sketch book along to let her look through while they were going, and one page pulled out and rolled up with a rubber band and her name on it. It was for her to keep if she wanted it.
Next was meeting up with Skylar and her... Very not-female friend. Huh, go figure. He apparently went to Scarlet Oak High, but it wasn't anyone Lucas knew off the top of his head. At least the trip would be a fairly short one. He knew the signs and got a few odd looks for their vehicle when pulling in and looked around for any sign of Theodore and Mercy before they went in at all. Where was the amusement in mocking the "no dogs" sign if you didn't have the three canine weres around? Secretive about it or not.
