Where You'll Find Me
Who: Psalm and Myra
When: Wednesday June 17, 2009 late evening
Where: U of M Hospital
Psalm was in shock when he walked out of Bunny's house. He looked awful. He felt awful, but not for the expected reasons. He just wanted to be with Myra, sure he was still pretty damn bitter about being locked up in a basement for nearly five days. Sure it wasn't on the same lines as being kidnapped and used as a source of blood, but it wasn't exactly a cake walk either. Waiting out of the house were the spirits, and honestly he was a bit relieved to see those evil ghosts.
Bunny's house wasn't far from the Lowell's so he tried there first. But they were all gone, presumably to the hospital. He couldn't go to Olivia's - she would probably never want to see him again. Which really freaking sucked considering he was going to need a job pretty soon. Deciding that it would be alright to shower first (as Myra would probably appreciate a non-smelly Psalm best), he used his key to go into the empty Lowell house. It was frightening to be there alone. He had never ever been there alone before, he was so used to it being loud, shaking, almost alive and ready to laugh. But now there was nothing, just silence. He went up the stairs and to Parker's room, his stuff all piled to the side. They had probably forgotten about him with all of the shock of Myra going missing, at least that's what he had been counting on this whole time. Psalm loved the Lowells, and they loved him, but he was not their flesh and blood. So it was different.
He grabbed a change of clothes and headed for the shower, keeping it as short as possible so he could see Myra sooner. Once he got out and changed he passed by Myra's room, peering in and smiling to himself before he ran down the stairs. He was hungry but didn't stop for food, but instead started walking to the hospital. He didn't have any money or anyone who would come and take him there, so it was his only option. When he finally got there, it was well past visiting hours...like something like that was going to stop him though! It didn't even take that much sleuthing to get past the nurses bank.
Once he was past that hurdle though, he looked around and inhaled sharply. He had only been in a hospital three times in his life - and it was always this one. Two of those times - when he was born and when he broke his arm, he couldn't remember. But the third? The day he woke up to find that he was all alone? He kept having flashes of it run through his head. He half expected those two cops to come and ask him where he was trying to go. Snap out of it Psalm. This is a happy day. He was going to see Myra. He was going to get to hug and kiss her. And finally see with his own two eyes that she was safe.
He closed his eyes for a moment and regained his composure before continuing his sluethster ways down the hall. Stopping in front of her room, he slowly opened the door so he wouldn't wake her if she was sleeping. Seeing her sleeping, so peacefully at that, was the happiest moment of his life. She was alive and relatively okay. Even if he wasn't there to protect her, she had somehow made it. He took off his shoes before walking further into the room, again so he wouldn't wake her. When he was by the bed, he crouched down so he would be eye level with her. He studied her for a moment before reaching his hand out to place on her cheek. "I'm sorry it took me so long." He whispered to her, not hoping to wake her just yet. "I'm sorry Myra, but I'm here now. I'll never leave your side again."
