I'll kick tomorrow, fight back at the pouring rain
Who: Zeke and Holly (and Scooby, NPC'd)
Where: Holly's apartment
When: Early evening
More often than not, now, Zeke was spending the night at Holly's house instead of his own apartment. He knew that her dad didn't mind having him around, and while at first it had been to help his girlfriend with her recovery, now it was just because he liked it. He was happier with Holly than without, there was a big backyard for Scooby - his apartment really was too small for his massive familiar - and he was supposed to be here. Sometimes it was good to remind himself that there was still good in the world, and with everything they'd all seen in the last few months, Zeke was just happy to have Holly back in his life. It wasn't unusual now for him to shoot Holly a text after work, let her know he was on his way, then swing home to get Scooby. For whatever the dog's opinion was worth, Scooby loved Holly, Holly's dad, and all of their pets. It was the lab's equivalent of going to the dog park and spending time with friends, even if no one could talk like Scooby could, save for Hen Wen.
Tonight, though, tonight was a bit different than the other nights he'd stayed over. Zeke knew that Holly had had a bad night a few days back, turning what had been being a good samaritan into something much, much worse. He didn't understand why vampires just attacked people, why it was his friends and loved ones who kept getting hurt. First Brodie touched the wall and had his powers go haywire, and now this? It wasn't right, and there was nothing he could do about it except for take care of Holly now. At least her wards had kept her from getting hurt too badly, which is more than his weak air elemental abilities would have helped in a situation like that.
He couldn't think about it too much. Adding his own emotions would only make the situation worse, and that was the last thing Zeke wanted. Arriving at Holly's, he noticed her car in the driveway and the front door was left open for him. He did knock first before opening the door, more so they knew someone was coming in, calling, "Hey, Hol! I'm here!"
And then Scooby slided in past him, big paws sliding along the floor. HOOOOOOOOLLLLYYYY! HI HOLLY WHERE ARE YOU?! And then the dog was gone, running through the house like he owned the place. Zeke sighed. There was no such thing as peace and quiet with Scooby around. Setting his bag and his guitar down, he went upstairs in search of his girlfriend.
