Welcome to the inner workings of my mind
Who: Lauren and Keira
Where: The Painted Bird Tattoo
When: early afternoon, around 3pm
Keira had been eyeing this particular tattoo place ever since she'd moved to Scarlet Oak, and she'd finally gotten up the nerve to venture inside. Thanks to the lack of people, she could look around in relative isolation, save for the people working. It was definitely preferable to having any distractions in pursuit of what she wanted. Which...was the hard part. Keira had always liked the idea of getting a tattoo one day, but then she'd always had a hard time thinking of something that she'd like to have permanently etched into her flesh. The idea was one she was sure that other people struggled with, which was why she didn't feel in the least bad about not having so much as a clue. She moved over to the part of the tattoo shop that had pictures she could look through, wondering whether or not she would see anything that would spark her creativity. Paging through one of the books she found, she came across a few pages that had pictures of wolves and she snorted, a smirk curving her mouth. That'd be rich -- she could imagine the smug look on Dominic's face were he to see her get something like that. No, she kept turning the pages, desperate to find something that was hers and hers alone.
Finally landing a page that was full of ornate looking crowns and other regal looking jewelry, Keira's face picked up a smirk again. Okay, so it was sort of a cop out to get something that was indicative of her family's name, but lots of people did that, did they not? She skimmed the page with her fingertip, pausing over a particularly delicate looking silver crown. She brought her face closer in to the book, eyes intense on the image. It was pretty enough that it wouldn't look too crude on her body, but the thought still remained as to where she intended to have the tattoo. It wasn't as though her skin was the smoothest piece of canvas, what with her self-inflicted form of stress relief, if it could be called that. Her arms were out of the question, definitely. Even places on her legs were off limits, and like hell was she going to get something on her lower back. There was a very colorful word for those sorts of tattoos, and Keira was certainly not a tramp. Camilla would beg to differ, she thought, rolling her eyes to herself. Tipping her head up and looking around the shop, the witch's eyes fell on a pretty brunette woman who seemed to work here. "Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to have any sort of advice over where might be the best placement for a first tattoo, would you? I'm having something of a dilemma deciding," she finished with a soft smile which felt unforced for once. She figured that anyone here would know better than she did, and she had absolutely nothing to gain from being her usual self.
