I'm on top of the world, hey
Who: Lux and Bryce
Where: Lux's apartment
When: early evening, around 6pm
Really, aside from all of the eye-sores he'd been privy to today, Bryce had had an acceptable day. He'd talked to a cute girl -- Helena, not Helen -- and he'd actually gotten some material for his Chemistry project. You know, because he needed to actually get ahead in that class if he was going to get through it. He only hoped his teacher was patient with him. He knew he was not the best student, but when he really concentrated and applied himself, he tended to surprise people. He really was sort of smart, when he desperately wanted to be. Problem was, the sports he was involved in just happened to be a whole lot more fun to spend any time on. And if Bryce was honest with himself, he sort of just liked hanging out with people. Well, people that were cool. Which, Helena seemed cool. He really liked talking to her. That had to count for something, right? He wasn't exactly sure where she fit in when it came to the social groups at SOHS and...he sort of didn't care.
Now, Bryce had a bit of an internal time clock, and right now it was ticking pretty loudly. He liked to spend time with his family but he didn't exactly feel like staying in an being expected to work on homework. Not just yet, at least. No, right now it was saying 'Hey! What's Lux doing?' He had the same clothes he'd worn to school on, with one main difference. He'd picked up some Chinese takeout on the way over to his cousin Lux's apartment. Yes, he knew it was spur of the moment and he had no real idea if she was free or not. Yes, he realized he should have called beforehand. These were all things he knew, but he sort've didn't care. He'd brought her dumplings and those prawn crackers that she liked so much. He'd gotten himself some chicken chow mein, too. He wasn't as fond of the dumplings as his cousin. He pulled into the parking lot of her complex and got out, waiting for someone to go up the stairs so he could tailgate through the secured main door. Coming up to her door, Bryce banged loudly and paused, listening inside for any sign of life before he opened up his mental shield to see if he could pick up Lux's thoughts. Yep, she was home. "Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuux! It's your favorite cousiiiiiiin! I brought you foooooood!" Really, Bryce thought she might actually like Mal better, but he didn't much care at the moment. "Soooo...open up before someone comes out in the hallway and steals your Chinese food." Because it was largely the food that would sway her to open the door over his presence, he'd put money on it.
