'Cause we are so young now
Who: Alanna and Lizbeth
Where: The Court
When: Little before noon
Not having any morning classes on Monday was a really good thing for Alanna. It meant that she had time to go out and take her morning... well, it would have meant that she would be able to go out and take her morning jog if she had been in a mindset that allowed her to go outside for any reason that was not absolutely necessary. Now a days she had to give herself a pep talk before she managed and that took all of the fun right out of her run. So instead of going out she just slept in a little, did some yoga in front of the T.V. and played with Callalily while she waited for the time to tick away and leave her with something to do. Like go to class. Or, today, get startled by her phone and the messages that it flashed at her. Alanna had known Lizbeth for a few months and that was, to her, long enough to become pretty good friends with someone. The fact that they both had awesome red hair and the ability to laugh pretty much whenever only helped. But a few months had not quite exposed her fully to the all-caps side of Lizbeth that came shooting out of nowhere and was really, really happy about...
Well, Alanna had no idea what she was really happy about, but she was going to find out.
"It's good for me," she told Callalily as she moved the large cat off her stomach and stood up. It had been around ten minutes since that last text and she was pretty sure that Lizbeth had a good sense of time. Better to be up and ready than needing to wrestle with a suddenly very excited cat - Callalily knew that knocks on the door meant the door would open and she would therefore have a narrow window of opportunity to shoot out and run for the world outside - before she could get there. The were straightened her simple shirt and pointed at the cat. "Now you stay right there," she informed the large creature. "I don't need to wrestle with you today." Callalily just meowed, the picture of innocence, and batted her paws in the air. Alanna would have gone in for the belly rub but not a moment later she heard the sound of steps and then someone knocked on the door. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up even though she was pretty sure it was Lizbeth. "Stay," she repeated, finger still pointing at the now standing cat, backing towards the door. Fumbling behind her she grasped the handle and pulled it open just enough so that Lizbeth would be able to get in. "Come on, before Callalily tries to make a break for it." The cat was ready, too, she was in a pose that clearly screamed how much she wanted to run right out that door.
