Alanna nodded when Lizbeth said that. Yeah, she already knew it all and yeah, she was a fully grown woman who should be able to take complete care of herself and not be locked up in an apartment because of a child. But she was. And she was getting worked up over it and she was completely and totally fine with having Lizbeth soothe her. "Thanks Lizbeth." She even managed to give her best smile before relaxing into the chair. Or relaxing for a second before she fidgeted and switched the way she had her legs draped and then she stretched her arms out and finally she settled. Sort of. Except she was trying to listen to Lizbeth and listening was a full-on engagement activity for her so sitting still did not work well for it.
There it was! Lizbeth looked happier because she was happier and there was a girl responsible for it. Alanna had to pause and wonder for a moment if she had known before that Lizbeth liked girls. I don't think I knew that? The were frowned and tugged at her lip before she shrugged and decided that it hardly mattered. If Lizbeth wanted to like girls then let her like girls. A few years ago it might have distressed her a little more because of the church's stance on it, but not believing in god meant that believing anything his clergy had to say was just ridiculous. So Alanna was going with 'doesn't hurt anyone, let her'. Plus that part where Lizbeth was her friend so... yes, Lizbeth was her friend. Wait. There was a way more important part to all of this and it was the name. Alanna knew that name pretty well and she was shocked to hear it. She did not even remark when Lizbeth jumped up and headed for the kitchen. She sat there staring at Callalily for a minute before she followed Lizbeth. "Liliya Kennedy is, like, the vampire of this whole area. Whenever something happens she's there to talk about it. She was one of the first to announce herself and she's just... like... ummm... Lizbeth?" Alanna stopped at the edge of the kitchen and rocked up on her toes. "Isn't she married?"
