Hey, kid, are you okay?
Who: Brenda and Orion
Where: SO park, at the playground
When: late afternoon
Orion was not the type of person who was terribly phased by the rain. Yes, it wasn't exactly wise to go gallivanting off in it without the proper attire, but the angel wasn't stupid. No, that word had no place in Orion's brain, at all. So, as warm as it was and rainy, Orion was still dressed in a raincoat and jeans rather than toting around an umbrella. He didn't mind the fact that his hair was soaked and his shoes were probably a little squeaky. The rain made it incredibly peaceful for whenever he just needed a walk or to think. Granted, there wasn't much going on in his personal life that should warrant the need, but that wasn't why the angel was upset. The child they'd found dead near the body of an angel was definitely not a laughing matter, even if there were lots of dead demon legionaires scattered around. That their presence on the earthen plane wasn't completely stopping all the demon's works was something that made sense...but so close to his home? Orion felt responsible somehow, and it didn't make him feel any better when he shared his feelings with his family. Shouldn't they be able to stop some of this violence? They couldn't be everywhere at once, it was true...but...there were six of them! They should be able to stop a little of the evil that was afoot.
Lifting his head from the ground in front of him, Orion noticed that he'd walked all the way from his home to the park. That there were actually people out in the rain was not entirely astounding -- lots of them were dressed much like he was -- but it was still interesting to note that there were several children playing on the playground. One boy in particular was swinging on the swings, his legs pumping and carrying him ever higher in the air. Orion tilted his head to the side when it looked as though the boy was preparing to jump from the swing -- that was definitely within his realm to warn the boy!! -- but it was too late. Before he could even initiate any sort of link to show the boy what might happen to him, he'd jumped off the swing and fallen nearly face-first into the sand. Orion rushed over without hesitation, glancing around to see if anyone else was coming to help. Was the boy here without his parents? "Hey, kid, are you okay?" He called out as he came up, his worry over the child's health overcoming his usual reserved nature.
