It starts out easy, something simple, something sleazy
WHO | Emyli & Lotti
WHERE | Mall
WHEN | Afternoonish
This rain could really stop at any time now. Emyli's quota on the rain? Had already been met and washed away. Now how was a girl supposed to enjoy what was left of her summer if it just rained every single day? Fall was just a few weeks away and then winter was right behind it. She wasn't one who usually used her sense of foresight -- unless it came to whether or not she'd be making a trip to the ABC store in the near future -- but winter meant layers. Sweaters and coats and galoshes that just weren't as... ey-ecatching as the clothes she wore during the summer. As much as she hated the rain, the dream eater didn't let the precipitation stop her from wearing whatever the hell she wanted to. And today? It was a bright yellow tank top that was sticking to her with how wet it was, leaving very little to the imagination of any onlookers, and a pair of shorts with platform shoes. That's right. Go ahead and stare. Humming to herself, Emyli didn't even mind that she was dripping water on the floor of the department store, although the clerks certainly did. The looks they kept giving her as she browsed through the racks of clothing were really starting to grate on her nerves. "You know, you should be thanking me. Because if I were to steal something, then you'd have a trail of water to follow. So how about you quit staring and get back to zoning into space and thinking you're better than the people in here? Thanks." Emyli rolled her eyes and turned her back to the clerk, inspecting the earrings that were hanging on the rotating display. "Can't believe people in this place. Act like they haven't ever seen someone without an umbrella or something." No, she really knew why they were staring, but she was curious to know if the young girl next to her would dare point that out. She liked testing out people's reactions about as much as she liked shopping -- and that was a lot. |
