And all the constellations shine down for us to see
Who: Isaiah, Winifred, and Lizzy
Where: The Williamson family home
When: Early evening
Isaiah had seen lots of things happen in Scarlet Oak in the last few months, but the Court being swarmed by police to the point where he couldn't get back into his apartment, that was a new one. The gossip mill at the Owl's Nest had been in full swing today, everyone buzzing about the guy who'd died, who he was, what he might have been. Isaiah didn't know Zach Temple, and the idea of someone actually being murdered in town had every overprotective bone in his body shift into overdrive. Not that he thought his loved ones were in danger... no more than they'd been the day before, anyway. But if Zach had been killed for being part snake, then yes, it weighed heavily on Isaiah's mind. There was a reason why he kept the falcon inside him under wraps, as the phrase went, and events like this only reaffirmed that belief.
The original plan for the evening had been to have date night with Winifred, a plan that now had to be rearranged since they couldn't exactly get back to either of their apartments right now. Instead, Isaiah had offered for them to stay at his parents' house - his parents never mind when he came over, his family genuinely liked Winifred, and he knew they could get some time alone after his youngest siblings went to bed. On top of that, it let Isaiah check in on his family, because though he knew the wards were in place, and that his dad and Elijah could take off for the skies if they had to, he still worried. Isaiah would always worry.
Climbing off the back of his motorcycle, Isaiah turned and held out a hand to Winifred. Just looking at the redhead had the falcon smiling. "Sorry this isn't quite the date night we had in mind," he said, "but we'll make the best of it." Honestly, it wasn't like they had to worry about his parents walking in on them or something, they weren't to that point yet. A good movie and snuggles on the couch was an awesome plan to him. "Come on, let's head in."
