Raleigh had meant what he had said about wanting to catch up with his friends. He really was interested in what they had been doing all summer. Though he had managed to keep up with most, with at least one owl sent between them, there were still a lot of details left out in quick notes. And of course, he had particular interest in his friends that happened to be female and beautiful. Saxen fell under both of those categories. Raleigh was more than happy to set aside the time to spend an afternoon having lunch with her.
Never one to be late, actually the opposite, Raleigh was already at the lake's edge with plenty of time to set up for their luncheon. He had chosen a spot where the September sun could reach them but they were still shaded by a [thankfully] innocuous variety of a willow. Being Head Boy had its benefits, and he was allowed entrancce into one of the older storage rooms. A trip to said room earlier in the morning proved fruitful. There he found an older but still well kept blanket that had been used in the Ravenclaw dorms several years back. It would be perfect to lay down and give them something other than the grass to sit on. With the blanket spread out, Raleigh sat down with the basket that over eager house elves had packed for Raleigh and Saxen's lunch. He of course, had given them a menu of things he was sure that Saxen liked.
There was a nice breeze in the air, making the afternoon quite comfortable. With a few minutes to spare, Raleigh pulled out a small worn book that he had tucked into the basket just in case he did end up with time to wait. He cracked it open, bringing his knees up and planting his feet flat on the ground while he got comfortable. After a tug at the bottom of his khaki trousers, Raleigh was settled again and immediately engrossed in his book. Saxen would be there soon. He was patient.
