Day Nine Today Is: Day 9 City of Illusions Amusement Park Arrivals: Amalthea/Unicorn Der Tod Rudolf Habsburg Weather: The cold continues. Another couple of inches of snow have fallen, and the sky is still clouded over, looking like more could fall at any time. Highs of 32 degrees (0 celsius) dipping down to 28 (-2 celsius) in the evening. Fairly windy at times. Announcements: The second day of 'Christmas', apparently! New arrivals will all find stockings in their rooms, and the decorations and such remain up. The rides are still operating, though, and the amusement park is still open. Hello! I'm Kat, and I'm new here (although some of you I've played with in other games).

For my first character, I bring an obscure character from an obscure fandom: the Crown Prince Rudolf, heir to the Habsburg empire, from the Japanese (all-female) version of the musical "Elisabeth." He's an idealist, easily influenced, and sort-of attention starved. Canon-wise, he's being pulled just before his suicide, after his father, Emperor Franz-Josef, has discovered that he was involved in a plot to overthrow the current regime (i.e. Franz) and decided to hush up his son's involvement in said plot. Rudolf appealed to his mother, the Empress Elisabeth, for help, but she turned him down, essentially saying he was a big boy and could handle his own problems. I'm playing him mostly to musical canon, with a dash of history thrown in (yes to his wife and daughter, no to his mistress, Marie Vetsera).

Rudolf is arriving on the next day change along with, but not WITH, his "best friend", Der Tod (Death). Rudolf is unaware of his friend's true nature. All he knows is that this man has been there for him when no one else was.

Well hello there all! I'm Amy, intro-ing my newest character, Der Tod, aka Lord of the Dead. Because I like obscure fandoms. He's from the Takarazuka(Japanese all-female theatre) production of the German musical Elisabeth, which is a truly wonderful musical that more people need to see. Because I'm pulling from the Takarazuka production, the played-by is female, but the character is male.

Der Tod is as said, the Lord of the Dead and as would be expected, is a rather cold individual. People in general mean very little to him, and he has little compunction against manipulating them for his amusement. The only person he's ever really cared about is the Empress Elisabeth, and at the point I'm pulling him from, she still does not return his affection.

He does, however have a bit of fondness for Elisabeth's son, Crown Prince Rudolf (aka Kat's character rudorufu), if only as a particularly useful tool. Now the interesting thing for Labyrinth is I'm pulling Der Tod from later in the musical than she's pulling Rudolf. In fact, he's coming from Rudolf's funeral, so he's going to be a bit surprised to see the boy alive.

So anyone want to greet a rather confused and annoyed Lord of Death?

Per the rules, each player should be active every other week, and if that player has more than one character, each character should be active once a month. So if you have only one character, you're required to interact with them at least every other week.

For this sweeps, I removed all of those who said they weren't keeping their character whether they were active or not. I also have no one officially on hiatus. Alej might've been, but she was safe anyway! ;D

So now, as before, two lists, one of Inactive Characters, who haven't posted at all this month, and one of inactive players, ones who did not post at least once every two weeks in the month of April. You have until Friday May 15 at 11:59pm PST (GST +8) to get a significant journal post or thread start for your character(s) if you are on this list, or you will be removed from the game.

Let's see if we can't pick up May's activity and make this the easiest darn sweeps I've ever done!
