Plot Bunnies
Hi again!

The purpose of this post is to get your feedback on storylines, plots and arcs that might take place in the game. We have a few ideas, but we would really like to know what you would like to see happen in the Labyrinth.

What types of things will keep you interested in the game? What will help you further develop your characters? What would be the most fun for you? What types of things have happened in other games you've been in that were entertaining?

Feel free to comment with your ideas, or if you'd like to keep it sekrit you can email it to the mod email here: labyrinth.rpg[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thanks again, you guys rock.

The storylines I've been in so far have been a lot of fun. I've been enjoying them greatly.

However I do have one concern and it's mostly just because I've seen bad things happen because of this before.

I love that you're trying to include everyone's ideas and plot lines, but, I've found that when collaborative plot is made, it causes people to feel like the game is "over planned" and that the game has potential to lose it's spontaneity. When all the guess work is taken out of the future it can make things seem bland and players can (and in will in my experience) lose interest.

I know the comm that I'm currently working on over-hauling, that is one of the major problems there. Too many people knew what was going on, they got bored, annoyed, felt trapped in one dimensional plot lines with no wiggle and exploration room for their character. Sometimes you get the best character development from being throw into situations that you have absolutely no idea what's going to happen. My favorite characters of all time were the ones where I walked into game (or logged into game) with no idea what was going to happen next, where the adventure was going to take me and I really was able to get in touch with my character because of that. I was able to bond with my character and take on her emotions, thoughts and feelings while playing her because I got to know her better by her being put through completely random situations in which all my character had to do was figure out how to react to it.

Now I will stop ranting. Sorry about that. xD
