I have really forgotten how to be a homebody. Considering I spent a good thirty plus years being one, you'd think settling back in that rut would come easy, but it really doesn't.

Basically, I'm bored and restless. Who wants to fight? I swear this place is going to end up dropping something on us, and I'm going to be rusty.

I'm with you on the restless boredom.

Always down for a fight. Recreational or otherwise.

Pick your weapon and the place. I'm always up for a challenge.

I'm more of a fist guy myself.

Fists it is, then. I shall endeavor to restrain myself from using anything else, purposeful or otherwise.

You're the actual worst. Why do I put up with you.

Because I'm the only person who doesn't look at you and see Saint Petrelli, Savior of Evos?

Shut up. You know I hate that. I don't know why people act like I'm some sort of Evo...I don't even know.

Messiah? Second Coming? People tend to bicker about whether it's you or Claire that's the Holy One. But it all comes down to the same thing. A Petrelli's going to save our souls.

Claire's got the self righteous thing down. Don't religious figures need that.

Anyway, I don't think Jesus ever slept with Satan. Unless I missed that day of Sunday school. You're the one with the creepy religious upbringing, you tell me.

Only after they go through the wringer a couple times as far as human expectation. She's more of a Saint Paul than a Jesus.

Not Jesus. But God and Satan's relationship was more along the lines of antagonistic best friends than enemies. Frenemies, as the kids say.

And my mother would have a heart attack. You know. If I hadn't stabbed her with a pair of scissors.

I think if you asked Claire, she'd disagree. But Claire's never been right about anything ever, so...

God and Satan were not dating, Gabe. And there was the whole temptation in the desert thing with Jesus. So maybe it's not so different after all.

Your mother would hate me for corrupting her sweet, innocent little sociopath. If she wasn't just jealous.

Hey. I didn't start out a sociopath. That was just a byproduct of all the murder. You've got to disassociate.

And it makes a lot more sense knowing that we weren't blood related. Even if I will still never forgive you for pointing that out. I could have lead a much happier life without that realization.

Oh I forgot. That slippery slope of murder. If only you hadn't murdered a bunch of people, you wouldn't have those pesky personality issues.

I'm surprised you never noticed. I mean, she was really creepy about it, from everything you told me. Not that I have much room to talk about not recognizing emotional abuse.

Your words make sense. Your sarcastic tone does not. Come on. You know that's basically what happened.

It seemed normal to me. I thought that was how mothers were supposed to be. Touchy feely, overly affectionate, overly expectant, controlling.

Shorthand slang for evolved humans. It started out as a classified lingo. You know how secret government agencies can be. But once people found out, it caught on.

A play on mutation, yes? Far less flattering a public outlook that claiming to be the next step in evolution, but I'm guessing the reactions aren't exactly any better.

Yes. I think the term started to be used in the 1950s or 60s? I'm not entirely sure. And you're right about that.

I don't know...20th century history isn't one of my strong suits. And I agree, though I don't think necessarily all people are that way.

It's easier when it's an all or nothing situation. It's a minefield when there's always the chance people could act both good or bad.
