Breakfast
Who: Jake, open Damon
What: breakfast
When: Monday morning, July 10
Where: Diner
Status: Complete
Jake didn't often eat out, mostly because he didn't often eat breakfast. He'd sometimes grab a bagel or donut or something, or something from Dunkin' or Starlords, but he'd gotten up a little earlier than usual and had an hour or so to kill before he had to be back out at the quarry. It was looking like this would probably be their last day, barring any accidents, and he already had a renovation project lined up for the rest of the week. Still, time to kill, so he may as well have breakfast. He had no idea whether or not Damon was working, but it didn't much matter. Still and all, he wanted to touch base with him at some point; he hadn't really had a chance to yap at him since the fireworks and he wanted to know how things had gone. If things had gone, but he was pretty sure he'd caught wind of the fact Damon had been over at Jaime's. Which meant there was very likely going to be some smug and some teasing in their mutual future. Unless it had been an epic disaster, but if that was the case he was pretty sure he would've heard from Cassi about it. Stifling a yawn against his shoulder, Jake nudged open the door of the diner and headed toward the counter - no need to take up a booth since he was by himself. Reaching for a menu (not that he needed to) he studied it while waiting for whomever was taking orders to come ask him what he wanted. He did glance up a couple times to peer toward the kitchen, but wasn't concerned either way. After that, he glanced around to see who else was here and if there was someone whose table he might crash, if he knew them well enough. Breakfast, after all, wasn't going to take an hour. |
