"Anti gravity's a bitch," Damon said, well aware that it was a common occurrence at the quarry. "Glad you didn't get hurt, man." He didn't think his friend would deal well with broken legs or any other injury that had him laid up.
He looked surprised at the concept of Cassi not knowing something. He liked the girl, but damn. Sometimes the FBI had nothing on her.
"Movies," he said when asked if they were doing anything fun. "We'll eat something before, probably." He paused when his order was delivered, nodding thanks to the waitress. He didn't have to pay for it but he'd tip her, of course. He liked having good vibes with the other restaurant staff; you never knew when you might need some goodwill. "And then my second massage ever," he said after she'd gone. "I had no idea what I was missing." Was getting a massage odd for a first date-that-wasn't-exactly-a-date? Damon only wondered about that when the words were out of his mouth.
