Damon had to laugh at that. "That doesn't make any damn sense," he said. "'Specially if you were trying to make some kind of sexual joke. Western omelets and sex are not usually connected in any way." Or at least they shouldn't be as far as he was concerned. He figured it was just Jake being Jake.
He was a little surprised he hadn't heard from Jake after Friday night, but then again the guy's sister lived with him and she was gossip central about everything and especially anything to do with Jaime. He probably knew whatever there was to know. Of course they weren't in high school anymore, but he wasn't sure Cassi realized that.
"Yep, I drew the early morning shift most of this week," he said. The counter waitress came over and Damon ordered a breakfast sandwich. Tasty and quick to eat in case he needed to get back to work fast.
