Dehlia Stimpson The Daily Prophet Lately there has been a good level of reconstruction within the Ministry of Magic, all at the hands of new Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shaklebolt. "These changes," he says, "are of the utmost importance if we wish to prevent any further threats like the recent rise of Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Every thing I do, I do to keep the populace of the Wizarding World safe and these changes will help me to secure that." But how intrusive are these changes? The recent demand for registration and the issuing of ID cards has some Wizarding citizen's questioning the intentions of the Minister. "It seems to me that Shaklebolt is looking to round us all up into groups," says one worried individual, "Why do we need to register as Pureblood, Halfblood, or Muggleborn? Seems a bit fishy to me." These worries were compounded today when the youngest member of the Zabini Family was accosted when entering Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Eye witnesses state that Mr. Zabini was stopped by two Ministry officials requesting to see his Identification card. When Mr. Zabini failed to produce the appropriate papers, he was escorted in restraints from the premise. Mr. Zabini was not available for a statement concerning the matter, but the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement Division had this to say, "We have strict orders to ensure all members of our society carry with them their Ministry issued Identification cards. It is a matter of public security. Mr. Zabini failed to do so and will therefore be facing the repercussions of that choice. Ministry Identification cards are a necessary must for all Wizarding citizens and must be carried on their person at all times, as ordered by our Minister of Magic." [Read more on Page 14 |
