WHO: Maddie and George
WHEN: August 25, 2019; afternoon (forward-dated)
WHERE: Rooftops on townside.
WHAT: Having fun shooting zombies with paintball guns
RATING: Low/medium.
Paintball guns weren’t completely useless when it came to killing zombies, but they weren’t exactly effective either. About one shot in fifty, as long as it was a strike to the skull, could take down an infected, but for the most part the guns were used for harmless fun and target practice. Maddie suspected that was why the guy brought them back from his looting trip, as well as why he didn’t make a fuss about those guns going missing. Maddie didn’t mind this kind of target practice. She wasn’t a sharpshooter by any means, but this did provide her a fun means of practice, even if she doubted she’d ever be really adept at long range. Paintball sniper rifles were something she never knew existed. It took her a few tries to actually get the hang of how it worked, but once she got the hang of it, taking aim and pelting zombies with her color of choice was a laugh a minute. Almost as entertaining as playing a video game. She pelted another zombie in the knee, watching as purple paint blossomed like blood in the area that was hit. The zombie stumbled and fell to the ground, which caused another zombie walking behind it to trip over the prone body. Laughing, Maddie picked up her walkie to convey a message to her friend George. “Dude, that totally counts as ten points. The first went down and the other tripped. I’m catching up to you.” The other girl only had a few more points than Maddie did. That would change, though. Maddie was confident it would. |
