It seems as though I am jumping on a bandwagon here by changing my current AIM screen name, which I freely admit is very uncreative. I had no desire to use creativity when naming it but later I realized how much I hated my selection.

Anyway, my new one is calledtoliberty, which references the events surrounding the American Revolution, my favorite period in history by far. Oh and here's a link for my CDJ in case some of you folks might want to add me.

Hey all! Mod!Robyn here.

Regarding the Narcissa kidnapping plot. So far as I figure, Narcissa knows most DEs because of the fact that everyone around her is a DE. Plus, before her father died, he figured he was head of the Black household and inner circle and thus untouchable and used to do cocky things like invite all the DEs over for dinner and then plotting or maniacal laughter to celebrate recent successes. Which would mean Narcissa would know pretty much everyone.

So! If there's a reason that she wouldn't know your DE character was a DE, please comment here. Even if she WOULD know your character is a DE, please comment here with to show you understand that means the Order may very well be getting confirmation they are, as mentioned, a DE. Also, any feedback regarding your character getting ousted can go here too.

That means, all players with DEs, please comment!

***Please note! Just because the Order finds out doesn't mean there'd be any immediate or noticeable repercussions. The Order has no power over many of them. Mostly it would just be giving them a list of people to watch. The Order currently has no one high enough in the Ministry to effect any change.

All right, as you've seen in various posts lately, Rosalind has been ordered to find a way to get Moody in trouble so that he can be either fired or demoted when the reshuffling reaches the DMLE. It happened this morning.

Here's what went down:
Moody got his divorce paper and arrived drunk at the Ministry. Seeing that, Rosalind sent the pre-written dictaquill anonymous note to Crouch Sr., who came to the Aurors office and found Moody like that. As they don't like each other much, it didn't go very well, as you can guess. Moody's fate as Head of Aurors isn't decided yet, but it doesn't look good.

Any character who would have been there (Aurors, Amelia, etc) are welcomed to go ahead and react to it all. We didn't like doing a log NPCing a character that might eventually be picked up, so we thought it'd work better this way.

Hi! So I talked with Alie and for this weekend's DE duelling practice, I'm going to try and do a sort of OOC/IC log thing since obviously all of us trying to log with each other is just going to be insane.

My plan is that on Saturday I'll throw up a post that will be a short summary of what they're doing. (Basically they're all out on the grounds of Lestrange Manor and Bella's going to pair them off for the first round. After that, anyone who is still standing can fight who they want. She won't issue much in the way of guidelines except that they need to set the rules of their own duels.) Anyone who wants to do an actual log of their fight can obviously feel free and post it in the comments, or you can just work it out with your duelling partner to figure out who won, injuries, etc. And I want to give a few days head start to people who want to log and like gdocs and stuff so I figured I'd do the pairings now.

Let me know if any of these don't work for whatever reason! (Rick, I paired your characters up with each other because I'm assuming you're still going to be on hiatus, but let me know if you want in and I'll switch that up!)

ZOMG WHY DO WE NOT SLEEP?

Hey! Anna here... I just put up the thread for poker night at Dung's. I know that there's a lot of you (I did remember everyone, right?) and that trying to rp a poker game might get insane, so I was thinking that we have everyone thread a round of introductions, and then maybe maybe stop the "real" threading as Dung deals the first hand, and maybe move to just simple ooc comments as to what your character did, i.e. who lost/won how much money after that.

What do y'all think?

Sorry for not being around, guys! My grandfather’s been in the hospital and just came home a few days ago, so I’ve been scarce in the land of role-playing because of that. Things are going pretty smoothly now though (thank God), so I’ll be throwing Fenrir back into stuff soon. Of course, if anybody wants him for anything don’t hesitate to let me know!

Hey all! Robyn, mod number two here!

I've been a little distracted, and I will continue to be for the next... ten days, approximately. I work at a hotel and we're getting a $110,000.00 new system, so there's a loooot of work getting trained and ready, etc, so I'm all over the map for shifts and overtime as I am one of the most senior employees and all. Which is the long way of saying that I'm sorry, but I have an excuse!

However, I also wanted to say HELLO! to all of the new people, as well as the new characters who belong to people who are not so new! I'm excited to play with all of you, and I'd love to talk about some of the possible plots! (See ideas beneath the cut!)

Hello, everyone! This is Alie here, one half of the mod squad--An Ill Wind is officially open! Please introduce yourselves and your character(s) to everyone here in the OOC community so we'll get the relationships/plots a'rolling. I'll be getting up some key RP plot related info fairly quickly here regarding the campaign for Minister of Magic, as well as the background information related to the change of canon when the original prophecy took place. For now, here are a few reminders/points of interest:

- It is March 15, 1980. You'll find a monthly calendar here. These will be posted every month to help you/us keep track of days and events. These posts will also be a timeline reference point; all important plot-related events/owls/etc. will be posted and linked here. You'll be able to reference them through the community tags ('calendar' or 'month year').

- Speaking of tags, please tag all RPs/owls with the names of the character(s) involved.

- We only have two communities to keep things simple and easy to manage for Robyn and I; owls and RPs should be posted in an_ill_wind, and OOC posts should be made in this community, illwindooc. If you want to include NPC characters in play, the NPC character journal is illwindnpc. The password is posted in a Friends Only post in the journal. You should feel free to upload any applicable character icons. :)

- You'll find the friend add button and our list of player information here. We'll update as we receive and accept new characters/players, and a post will be made in this community asking you to run the button.

- For the first month you are in the game you are limited to a three character cap. Once this period has passed, you are welcome to take on up to five characters. Any character applications submitted after your initial application do not have to include writing samples. We will let you know when your month is up (one month from the day you posted your initial application).

- Please be sure to refresh yourself on the game rules before starting play, particularly those concerning posting guidelines and activity requirements; feel free to contact either of the mods (Alie & Robyn) on AIM.

- You are welcome to friends-lock any entries in your character's personal journal, but we ask that you keep your profile visible so that applicants may have the opportunity to browse the game and get a feel for the characters theirs may be joining in play.
