Author's Notes: Dear idea_of_sarcasm, I tried my darndest to get you a post-DH story but it simply wouldn't work out for me. I'm afraid that the only one that worked was a during-DH story. I apologise profusely. I did try to work in as much plot and canon as I could. I also took your request to develop characters of both sexes rather literally. There's definitely very little fluff and absolutely no pregnancy in here. There's also strong women, "magical stuff", affection and way too much plot. I based the story off your prompt of "Love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real." Many thanks to my betas, M, T, & J.
