[24 Aug 2010|06:27am] The world as you know it has changed. Once, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was described as the safest place in the world. How true is that now? The school year is about to begin and the Marauders, along with their fellow seventh years, are about to enter their final year of learning. Instead of worrying about Quidditch, crushes, and NEWT examinations; death, destruction, and daily news of abductions and murders have taken priority in the minds of Britain’s magical youth. Just how safe are they behind the castle walls? What can any of them do to aide the fight? Outside the walls of the school, a furious battle for power is raging. Death Eaters are on the move and are fighting to create a puritan world under the charge of Lord Voldemort. Only an underground, secret group of witches and wizards named the Order of the Phoenix dare challenge them. Is there any hope of defeating the darkness? Does Dumbledore hold the solution? Is there any truth behind the hushed whisperings concerned seven magical objects that, once brought together, could potentially end the up and coming all-out war? Only one thing is certain. [24 Aug 2010|10:03am] behind the veil A dark alternate universe Harry Potter game set in 1996. Only one pair was still battling... Harry saw Sirius duck Bellatrix's jet of red light: he was laughing at her. "Come on, you can do better than that!" he yelled, his voice echoing around the cavernous room. The second jet of light hit him squarely on the chest. The laughter had not quite died from his face, but his eyes widened in shock. Harry released Neville, though he was unaware of doing so. He was jumping down the steps again, pulling out his wand, as Dumbledore, too, turned towards the dais. It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall: his body curved in a graceful arc as he sank backwards through the ragged veil hanging from the arch. Harry saw the look of mingled fear and surprise on his godfather's wasted, once-handsome face as he fell through the ancient doorway and disappeared behind the veil, which fluttered for a moment as though in a high wind, then fell back into place. Harry heard Bellatrix Lestrange's triumphant scream, but knew it meant nothing - Sirius had only just fallen through the archway, he would reappear from the other side any second… And he did. Sirius found himself in a world he did not recognize. All around him were familiar faces and yet their lives were not how he remembered it. They were supposed to make the world a better place, and free from tyranny. However, like most things in this world no matter how hard you try, bad things happen. The Second War came and went, destroying just about everything in its path. Heroes rose, villains fell, sacrifices were made in the name of justice. Following the fall of the Dark Lord, and the Second War it was only natural that the trend from the past continue. Those who had survived carried on, to pass the torch down to their children, a new generation that seemed to spring out of the ashes. This new generation, the Boomer Generation as they're now being called, was raised with the hope that they'd be able to create a new world, a better one, one that wouldn't fail into the habits of their parents generation. However, this can be said for both sides. For the children of the defeated have been growing with their own ideas to correct their sides own flaws, becoming more powerful everyday and the time is growing closer to unleashing their plan on the world... [24 Aug 2010|02:48pm] batbogeys! a new next gen game on ij. the game is set to open next week and will focus on character development and fun. the game takes place during james potter's seventh and final year at hogwarts school. his brother, albus, would be in sixth year. currently, only seventh and sixth years are available for play. what makes this game different? to encourage plotting and writing with new people, we have incorporated premades from popular shows and movies and made them a part of the game by assigning a premade to each character. feel free to look around and pick out new ideas and develop new character or tweak older ones. we want to give you a place where you can write and develop something that you like and where there are people to interact with outside of your usual friends. if you like what we are about, please apply! we open soon so feel free to ask for a hold. post comment
