[info]origomods

Hello everyone; Leah and Lily here tonight with some sad news that's probably a long time coming. We're sure you can all see that Origo never really managed to find its footing as a game, and that that is partially due to our own busy schedules and lack of time to keep you all inspired.

What we're trying to say is, we think that it's time to close the game. If anyone is interested in taking the reins and trying to reboot the game, please, let us know and we can talk. Otherwise, it was wonderful to play with you all, you're all extremely talented writers, and we hope to get a chance to interact some time in the future.

I'm so sorry guys, I just completely disappeared!! Work and school started to overwhelm me a bit - it's just that time of year! I will work on catching up on everything this weekend, and if you have ideas and want to start threads, let me know! :)

Guuuys.

I may be a bit scarce in the next week or so until I get my groundings at school, so my apologies if I'm not around much. I have tags to get to that have been left for a couple days (Sorry!), and I will do them ASAP, but classes and rehearsal and everything has become a tiny bit crazy and I need to catch my breath a bit. So I'm here, just maybe a bit slow in getting back to you.

And by all means, feel free to IM me, message me, etc. anytime!

[info]winifreddie

Hi, Harley again here with a new girl.
This is Winifred Miriam Sandringham, yes, big name for a petite girl. She works a desk job at the ministry and supports the Dark Lord. She also enjoys reading, tea, musical theatre and painting (even though she's barely moved out of the 'pretty flowers' stage)
She's a girl who keeps rather quiet about her political beliefs and even though she is a purist who believes that witches and wizards are superior to muggles, she doesn't actively condemn muggleborns and muggles. Just silently considers them inferior. It's probably mostly to do with her family, as her father is a bit of a stuck up purist and very supportive of the DE's. She loves him dearly, so it rubbed off.

So she needs lines, co-workers, friends, enemies, past romantic interests... I'm up for anything. And, as always, I can be reached on Aim at harleygreatness

Just a little notice, everyone! Due to circumstances beyond her control, our lovely Leah is without internet temporarily. She's got AIM on her blackberry if there's an emergency or something, but anyone who's ever typed on a blackberry keyboard knows how generally unpleasant it is for anything longer than the average text message, so replies there will be slow. As always, you can always send me an e-mail or IM as well if you see me around.

Also, there will be a Death Eater meeting around Sundayish, so if you play a Death Eater, keep your eyes peeled for that!

That's it~ ♥ Lily

ETA: Leah here, not on a blackberry! I have acquired my old webbook for the time being. I'll still be a little slow on replying to things, but at least I'm around a little! If you need me for anything, I'll be around!

[info]requisitioning

Carly here. Again.

This is Caradoc Dearborn. He's not really much of any one thing in particular: owns a couple moderately successful small businesses in Diagon Alley; fancies himself a collector of various things (people, art, whatever interests him). He's friendly, in the OotP, and usually swanning off somewhere. Caradoc (or 'Doc' to Emmy, his BFF) is not great or fantastic at any one thing, but he's a good bloke, enjoys socialising, and likes to think he can fit in anywhere. He may think he's more charming or aggressive or intimidating than he truly is.

Overall, he's an average bloke with an average income and a lot of free time on his hands. He's always looking for someone or something.

Plot with me!

AIM: runswithwands

ETA: I'll specify... he has a tea shoppe and a history antiques/bookshop in Diagon Alley. They're two different shops, though. Anyway. Real men sell pink tea pots.

Introducing Two More Adults!

Hello again, lovelies! Marie here. You might know me as the player of Michiko Kim [info]kimpact and Justin Pritchard [info]sonofapritch. I decided to even out the playing field a bit and make two adult characters! Forgive me for waiting so long to post up my beautiful Jugson's intro, but I figured I'd save him for when Emmeline was accepted as well.

So... here goes! Oh, and do remember the applications are F-locked, so if for some reason you can't see them, message me on AIM (sunnywithatwist)!

Jedidiah Jugson | [info]jugulum
Jed is a rather unusual Death Eater. He comes from the typical pureblood family, having a father and brother involved in DE affairs as well. Despite his connections, however, Jedidiah still has mates outside the Death Eaters. He is the type not many would expect to fall into that lifestyle to be honest. Being both a Gryffindor graduate and an Auror, he seems like an unlikely candidate. If not for the murder of his wife a few years ago, he would probably still be on the straight and narrow. Unfortunately he has decided to sell his soul to the Dark Lard in exchange for his daughter's protection. After all, being an Auror somewhat puts a target on one's head. He knows better than to expect the Order to harm an innocent child, but he doesn't trust the Death Eaters to the same regard. Overall, Jed is a carefree, funloving individual who attempts to shoot for the finer things in life. His only major hangup would be anything regarding his little girl. He is also a paternal figure of sorts for the incoming DEs. Friends/enemies/past love interests/plot are all very welcome here!

Emmeline Vance | [info]emeraldwitch
Emmeline is an Order member and Auror in the making. She moves on up next year (hooray)! Initially from Australia, Emmeline still has a thick Aussie accent and some rather interesting slang she carried back from down under. Her family moved to England back in her fifth year, so she hasn't exactly been around too long. Emmeline manages to make friends rather easily despite this. She is passionate about her work, but that doesn't mean Emmeline plans out every intricate detail of her life or workday. To the contrary, she tends to be a pro at improvising (hence what makes her such a formidable foe)! I really condensed her application, so please do check it out if you get the chance. The history is a bit lengthy, so you certainly don't have to suffer through it... but her personality is fleshed out much better at her journal!!! She needs mates/enemies/coworkers/the whole shebang! Students count as well! Lemme know if anything might fit one of your kiddos.

Other than that, one more order of business. I have three open threads to whomever wants to join 'em! I figured it couldn't hurt to get things rolling. I know school is just now starting up for many of you, so no rush. Just figured I'd lay it out there in case anyone hasn't gotten around to friending everything yet.

+ Justin Pritchard got removed from Potions.
+ Jedidiah Jugson is tormenting a coworker.
+ Michiko Kim is having a jam session off the Entrance Hall.

[info]kimpulse

Hello, everyone! It's Kari again, bringing you the second Kim twin, Marise! You can call her Mars. It's what she goes by. ;D You've already met her sister, Mitchie, and so you know all about these incredibly musically inclined girls. They're the front runners of the band Witchever and their star is quickly rising. It's an exciting time for them! Mars would absolutely have left Hogwarts and fully concentrated on music if it wasn't for her twin, who wanted to do the opposite. It's not like the band would've been able to do very much with only one available twin, right? xDD

HOKAY. So, Mars is fun. She's friendly, kind, and the biggest wizarding hippy you might ever come across. She's all about homemade remedies and hardly ever resorts to magical cures when she's feeling ill. She'd rather give time for the natural healing powers of the world to do their thing! Mars eats very healthily, opting for organic food over anything else, and actually has her own garden at home. If you've got an ailment, Mars has a method of meditation or a certain leaf to put on your head or something to that effect to make you feel better (so she says). She's passionate when it comes to the wellbeing of Mother Earth, her creatures, and fairness and equality to go all around. Witchever's record label, Abracadaver, is always warning her to be a little less verbal with some of her more out-there thoughts and beliefs. Unfortunately for them, censorship is yet another thing that Mars is vehemently against.

She loves her twin and most other people. She just wants everyone to get along, man! Love is amazing, why waste your time on hate? That sort of thing. She's a smart girl, however given to her idealistic thoughts she is, and she will never turn down a philosophic discussion. Mars is a firm believer in finding the good in everyone.

Oh, and she's a seventh year Hufflepuff.

Plot, please! Friends, people who can't stand her, exes, whatever. Throw 'em at me!

Hey, guys! Please check this out. Ashley has a few specific storylines that I wanted to have filled. Thaaaaaank you! <3

[info]toujours_libre

Hello again! Leah here once more with my next offering. I'm sure you'll all come to know me via OOC intro posts if nothing else. I swear it isn't a condition I have, I just like accumulating characters!

Swiftly moving on, this kid here is Regulus Black. He's currently the only sixth year in game, but I hope that doesn't limit his possibilities. He's the younger brother of the infamous Sirius, and the cousin of Narcissa, Bellatrix, and Andromeda. He's a Slytherin and has lived his entire life as a doormat. He's a pushover and will do practically anything you tell him to, providing you're in a position to do so. He's just like every other posh, well brought up, pureblooded boy in his ideas and mannerisms, so I don't really need to say more than that. He's a bit of a loner kid and is very content with blending into the background and being a bit of a creeper.

More info on him can be found in his CS on his journal. I need the usual for him, so please feel free to hit me up here or on AIM! (It's leahtragic in case you missed it!)

Plot Bunnies

I have a few open lines available for Justin Pritchard if anyone is interested. On another note, feel free to add to them if you're interested but don't see something you want to claim here. Just looking for more individuals to interact with.

Don't worry. When I get more motivated, I'll have some for Mitchie as well.

Marie xx

[info]ex_fiercely88

HEY, EVERYONE. My name is Kari! Nice to meet you. Today, I bring you Ashley Birch (or Smashley Birch, if you're going with her well-earned Quidditch moniker), a seventh year Gryffindor and a Beater on the Quidditch team. She's not the kind of girl who believes that life hands anything to anyone - if she wants something, you can bet your bottom dollar that she's going to reach out and grab it. She's clever and funny, but she does have a rather strong personality. If she doesn't agree with someone/something, she's going to say something about it and she isn't really going to sugarcoat it. It's not that she's especially abrasive, but if you're going to ask her if your butt looks big in those jeans and you really, really, really, really just want to hear "No way!", then you better hope that your butt doesn't look big in those jeans because you asked for her opinion and she'll let you have it. She's very honest. Just sayin'.

She's incredibly loyal to her friends, maybe even to a fault, and is willing to stand up for them in the face of anything if it really boils down to it. That is, of course, unless they're doing something really stupid, in which case, she'll take the time to let them know about it. She's relatively easy to get along with, granted that she isn't being insulted, harassed, or just generally annoyed to pieces by someone. Her temper isn't especially explosive. She won't normally wind up and punch you in the face if you irritate her, but she wouldn't hesitate to do that if the offense was great enough (you kicked her teammate in the skull during a game on a purpose?! -WOMP!-). Normally, if she's pissed off, she'll either completely dismiss the person or just unleash every bit of sarcasm, disdain, and clever insults that she can dig up.

When it comes to Quidditch, Ashley plays pretty aggressively. You know, hence the nickname "Smashley". Her first year on the team, she was a Beater. Then next year, due to her overly aggressive and die-hard behavior on the pitch the year before, she was put on the team as a Keeper. While she played the position well, she made no secret of the fact that she was dying to be a Beater again. This year, her seventh year, her wish was granted. She's back on as a Beater and really, really psyched to get back into the game in the position that she felt she was built to occupy. She's known for playing a little rough and taking a few too many chances and risks, but sometime those chances she takes really make the difference (not to say it hasn't backfired a few times).

One more thing to note is that Ashley's adoptive father died of cancer this past summer. In pure Ashley fashion, she's holding up and soldiering on, but her father meant the world to her. His death forced her to face the fact that if her father, the man she always thought was infallible, could die, then that means no one is immortal, including her. Ah, don't we all remember when we first truly realized our own mortality?!

Anyway, PLOT. Friends, acquaintances, ideas for backstory, exes, best friends, enemies, whatever! Get me on AIM at sokariwaslike or shoot an email to oglekk@gmail.com, if you'd like!

[info]thetriplem

Hello hello! My name's Madeline, and I'm so excited to be here! More importantly, I bring you all one odd duck of a girl named Mary Macdonald!

With Mary I could ramble on and on because she's a bit out there. But there are some basics. Mary's a seventh year Gryffindor, and a Keeper on the Quidditch team - mostly an obligation to her father, who is a retired beater for the Wimbourne Wasps, Magnus "Dent-Head" Macdonald. You may know her, however, as the ragamuffin girl who says whatever's on her mind despite how odd it is, who treats her owl like her best friend (his name is Sir Cadbury Briefcase, Cadbury for short, and she loves him with all her heart), and who strives on attention. She grew up in her fullblooded-family's compound in remote Scotland, Tiree to be exact, and she will be exact with that, too. She was raised as the apple of their eye and could do no wrong, and still thinks she's as important today, despite her little brother being born before her second year of school. She has a bit of notoriety from being "the girl who was hexed senseless by Mulciber a while back."

And cut to save your flist )

And I see I rambled a bit anyways. Ah well! Her bio is here, if you wish to read about her more - maybe I should dissuade that, she's a bit out there. Naturally, ANY and all connections are welcomed - friends, frenemies, "romantic" affiliations - if that's possible with her, she's a bit intimidating to boys, victims of her odd habits, anything goes with her! My contact info is up, so just hit me up! Can't wait to play with everyone! :)

[info]aroundthedges

Hello, hello! I mean to do this sooner, but I kept getting caught up with silly RL stuff and...blah! But, I'm Jamie and I'll be playing Alice Longbottom! :) A little bit about me - I'm 23-years-old and live in central Wisconsin. I work in the medical department of a travel insurance agency, but I'm planning on going back to school to finish my english/history combo of a degree. If you ever want to chat with me, I'm rumblerawr on AIM and you can reach me on email at "jamielynn.who@gmail.com. You can also find my CDJ at [info]rosohna. (Yes, that's a lot of VPM references!)

Anyway, onto Alice! Alice (maiden name MacDougal) is 25-years-old and was a Slytherin in the class of 1952 where she was both prefect and Head Girl. She is a little unconventional, spent the majority of her younger life trying to be just like her brothers and a total tomboy because of it. She's an Auror now, but with age she cooled off on the tomboy side of herself. She's a friendly woman, fairly diplomatic, and has can get along with just about everyone. Alice has been a Longbottom since early 1975 and has been part of the Order for just as long. I could go on and on about her, but you can just read more here!

So, yeah! I'd love some friends and possibly enemies for Alice and I would really really really love a Frank since, you know, they're married and all. If anyone would be interested! :)

I'm looking forward to playing with all of you!

[info]beautifulbeast

Hey guys! I'm Amanda and this lovable ball of crazy is Bellatrix Lestrange. For those of you who don't know me, I'm a 25-year-old grad student/teaching assistant and...I like movies, stand-up comedy, and gelato. And Bellatrix.

Bella at 26 is more composed (most of the time), occasionally more quietly frightening, and, like the Black family in general, stunningly gorgeous in a very intimidating way. She is incredibly arrogant and narcissistic, has a severe temper, and loves, loves, loves violence and ordering people around. She is recognizably sociopathic in that child-in-an-adult-body kind of way: She can be extremely playful, silly, and impatient, especially about things that would normally cause others to be serious. And I do mean really playful. This is less pronounced than after more than a decade in Azkaban, but still very much there.

She enjoys her fellow Death Eaters' company as long as they impress her, particularly the inner circle, and is probably the most softened and approachable around her family members. By whom she means Regulus and Narcissa. Were there others? Her fanatical devotion to the Dark Lord is taking further root as the days go by...but she is also very much attached to her aunt Walburga, whom she has always sought to make proud.

So! You can always get me by email at akehrberg@gmail.com or sometimes on AIM at kissmecassius. Can't wait to get started! :)

[info]ichchhadhari

Yo.

My name is Carly. I'll be bringing Rabastan to Origo! It's been a while since I've been in a community game. I missed it.

ABOUT ME I'm 26, have a BS in Biology, and am leaving for Basic Training November 1. I'm in the Army and my job will be in MI as an Intelligence Analyst. I was going to be an officer, but chose to turn it down (and I will likely commission later). Currently, though, I work at a hospital in the laboratory, live in Oregon, and spend my money on food and DVDs.

ABOUT RABBER-BABBERS He's 28, advocates for the ethical treatment of... oh, wait, that's not right... He's a Hit Wizard and is not a known Death Eater just yet (though, perhaps some suspicion). He feeds information to Death Eaters, and, I suspect, he will make a mistake or two at some point. Rabastan is not at all friendly, he prefers to be alone, and he only trusts the inside circle of Death Eaters (mainly just his brother and Bellatrix).

When I've played him in the past, it has been post-Azkaban, so playing him beforehand will be different and challenging, hence the attraction to Origo. I got into a routine and got too comfortable playing him at age 45-50, so this will be a brilliant change of pace.

Catch me on AIM!: runswithwands

Cheers,

Carly

ETA: The journal name... in case anyone asks... Ichchadhari (also spelled Ichchhadhari) is a snake that can take forms, but the human form is its favourite. It's from Indian mythology 'Ichchhadhaari Naags (shape shifting snakes).'

NOTE: Also... I know 'Rabastan' is derived from 'Rastaban' which is Arabic. But, yeah, I chose Raza Jaffrey who's Indian. Suffice to say, I really wanted to use Raza as a PB, I missed playing Rabastan, so out popped this.

[info]kimpact

Hello!

Hello, Origo! My name is Marie, and I bring to you two Hogwarts students from complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

My first character is Michiko Kim (aka: Mitchie). She is a Hufflepuff 7th year with a fraternal twin sister named Marise. The two are rarely found apart considering they're quite reliant upon one another. Of the two, Michiko is the oldest and tallest, so that would give two points for telling them apart. They also have a few different facial features, but if you don't actually stare long enough to pick them apart, the girls are easy to mix up. Mitchie & Marise have been playing music and singing their whole lives, and have just recently made it into the wizarding popular culture scene. It is likely your characters have read about them at one point or heard some of their music on WWN. Their dad is one of the many voices of WWN, so it really is no wonder the band got their foot in the door. For the most part, Mitchie is a fan of promoting peace. She is a bit more withdrawn one-on-one than she tends to be on stage, especially if her sister is nowhere to be found, but she is trying to work on that now that their band ("Witchever") is becoming more popular. Anyway, more can be found on her application. It's pretty extensive, so I imagine you'll find heaps more to give you a background on her life. Friends, enemies, people who enjoy the music, people who can't stand the sound... etcetera! Anything and everything is encouraged! Oh, and for how they sound... it's a lot like this, this, and this only with a more 70s ish spin on it. Use your imaginations!

Justin Pritchard, a Slytherin 7th year, is my second character. He is nothing short of a pain in the ass deviant. The boy has a rocky past, and instead of rising above it, he has taken to pissing on the world (pardon my choice of words, but there is no other way to describe him)! It is likely he has irked your characters in some way/shape/form within the past 6 years, and this year is likely to be similar. He's the type that defaces public property, openly mocks teachers and students, and pretends to be sorry when it's quite evident he couldn't give a care what you think. He is has what muggles deem as antisocial personality disorder. This doesn't mean he won't speak to you. To the contrary, he's quite outspoken. Justin just has a plain disregard for the rights and privacy of other individuals. He is decidedly calloused and cynical and prefers to make others uncomfortable as a means of feeling some sense of control over his own life. I imagine Justin will have more enemies than anything, but the one or two who might tolerate/enjoy his behavior are welcome. Heaps more, including his history, can be found at [info]sonofapritch.

If anyone needs to contact me, you'll see my journals are friend locked. I will have contact posts up by this weekend if they're not up already, but otherwise my AOL IM is sunnywithatwist@aol.com. If you wish to e-mail, go ahead and do so to that e-mail since I check it frequently. My week has been a little chaotic, but I should have some IC stuff up by Saturday ish. Looking forward to meeting all of you and the future Rp!

Marie xx

P.S. Emmeline Vance & Jugson are on the way!

[info]furvusbarnes

Hello there! Hopping on the bandwagon and introducing both me and my characters! I'm Leah, the other half of the mod team, and I currently have three characters here at Origo (with more on the way >.>)

This pretty lady here is Melanie Barnes, one half of the Barnes twins. She's a Ravenclaw, but not in an overly smart way. Mel's intelligence is mostly social, but she is by no means dumb academically. She's very confident and talkative, brash and brutally honest. She's also a bit promiscuous, bless her. For her, I'd love friends, enemies and all of that lovely stuff. I'd also like a few boys that she's dated/hooked up with in the past!

Secondly, I have Alexander Avery ([info]porvenircurador). He's a Slytherin prefect, son of a Death Eater, and a spoilt, posh, rich kid. Like any good pureblood boy, Alexander believes in blood purity and ranks determined by lineage. He looks down on a lot of people and is a bit of a snob, but he sticks to the rules like glue and has no trouble trying to make others do the same. To those he doesn't hate though, he's polite and rather nice. As ever, I'd love friends, enemies, and all other manner of CR for him!

Finally (for now), I have Remus Lupin ([info]sollerslupus). Gryffindor prefect, werewolf, and one quarter of the most infamous pranksters to ever cross the threshold of Hogwarts. Remus is smart and very kind, albeit a little reclusive and quiet. He doesn't trust easily and only has a core group of mates he can truly believe in. That doesn't mean he doesn't have other friends though! He's just a little awkward. As hard as he tries to be a good role model, he is a bit of a doormat when it comes to rules. Just ask his fellow Marauders. Like my others, Remus needs casual friends, people who don't like him much, etc.

I appreciate that my introductions aren't the best, so for more information on any of my current characters, you'll find their information on their journals! It's a joy to be here with you all and I hope we'll all have a blast!
