Final HP Beholder Master List and Reveals
With this final post, [info]hp_beholder will be closing its doors. Seven years—what a run! (That's long enough, you may note, to complete a Hogwarts education.) I want to thank first and foremost [info]bethbethbeth for creating this wonderful fest, which has been a home away from home for fans like me. I don't think there is anything I can do or say to properly convey how much joy I've found here.

Thank you to those who been here since the beginning, and to those who took part for the first time this year.

Thank you to every generous pinch-hitter and commenter.

Thank you to everyone who pioneered a pairing here, and to those who made someone's year by gifting them with their favourite rare ship.

Thank you to everyone who challenged themselves, indulged themselves, and took a chance on creating or enjoying something different.

Over the next year, I'll be working to clean up the tags and back up everything on Dreamwidth so that this wonderful collection will endure as an archive of some of the best, most original, and most thoughtful works the Harry Potter fandom has to offer. If you publish on AO3, please consider adding your work to the HP Beholder collection.

Now, with no further ado, here are this year's authors and artists revealed:

Dephi, thank you so much for all your work on this fest. Beholder is a highlight of the fannish year for me and has shaped me as a fic writer and HP fan. It will be missed. (Beth, if you're out there, thanks to you, too!)

Thanks to all readers, artists, and writers! It's such a rare, wonderful thing to find a fest as engaging and meaningful as this one, and that has everything to do with its participants and readers. M.

Thanks so much for all your hard work, Delphi! Beholder has been one of my very favorite fests in the entire HP fandom and I am sorry to see it go, but I understand going out on a high note, which I think this round was.
Thanks to all the participants and commenters and, of course, to Beth for creating the whole thing.
    You will be missed!

Delphi, thank you so much for all your hard work this year and last. [info]bethbethbeth is an incredibly hard act to follow, but you did it brilliantly. I'm gutted to hear this is the end of the line for Beholder, but it's going out with a bang.

♥ forever to my darling [info]tamlane for my fantastic gift.

Oh, this breaks my heart. I will miss this fest more than I can say. HP fandom won't be the same without it. :(

What a wonderful line-up of fics, though. This is always such a high point of the year for me, and I salute you for keeping it going after Beth retired. You're a fantastic mod, Delphi, as Beth was before you. Heartfelt gratitude also to the writers and artists who participated in Beholder and produced seven years' worth of thoughtful, moving, imaginative work. I cherish so many stories that have come out of this fest, and I'll always be grateful that HP fandom created such an extraordinary love letter to rarepairs.

Many, many thanks for your tireless attention to detail, your organizational skills, your personal graciousness, and your own incomparable brilliance.

You also have my undying devotion for having forborne to chuck me down a well, no matter how much I deserved it or how sorely you may have been tempted. ;)

Goodbye, Beholder! Thanks for the memories. You were something truly amazing. ♥

i'm sorry beholder is ending. it's obviously been hugely enriching to hp fandom over its seven years. i'm not really in fandom, but participating in this fest a couple of times has inspired me to read where i normally would not, and write where i assumed i could not. huge gratitude to beth and delphi for running it with patience, enthusiasm and great generosity.

Goodbye, Beholder, it was wonderful while it lasted and I will miss you! This fest has introduced me to pairings that I would never have otherwise considered, that afterwards made complete sense, and that I now seek out and enjoy. Thank you for widening my fanfic horizons and for gifting us with some glorious fiction. Beth and Delphi deserve our gratitude for everything.

This fest has meant so much to me, and I can't thank you and Beth enough for running it so admirably.
Seven years of high quality is a remarkable accomplishment, and yes, it's completely fitting that an HP fest should end after seven glorious years.

    I'll miss Beholder like crazy.

Oh gosh! Perhaps I'm a little slow on the uptake, here, but I hadn't realised that this was Beholder's last round. I can't tell you how sad that makes me - but more importantly, how happy I am that it has been running for seven glorious years.

I'm one of the people who has participated each time, and in all the years since its conception, beholder has been the highlight of my fannish year. It's the place I first and most found acceptance and wonderful like-minded people in the HP fandom. I can't thank you and Beth enough for making it so.
