WHO: Dakota and Tatum
WHAT: AU in which Dakota gets to hang with her number one fan
WHERE: Present day, Disney World
WHEN: Early Spring
WARNINGS: Stalking, etc... I will update this as necessary
The sound of applause cut through Dakota just like it did every time. Her young fans were screaming and cheering as they jumped up and down in their adorable little hats and t-shirts. They made a fucking killing on the merch and her manager knew how to sell hard. You could get your very own signed Dakota Davenport t-shirt for a cool fifty bucks. It was amazing how fast they sold out too. They weren't even really her signature not really, just a copy of it and they still bought them. Dakota's respect for her fans was minimal but God that fucking rush of the applause. Like they all knew that she was a big frickin' deal and nobody was going to ever tell her otherwise.
They were still applauding her as she stepped offstage. One of the stagehands immediately handed her a towel so she could wipe the sweat from her brow and the back of her neck. It was hotter than hell in Orlando. Why couldn't Disney World be in New York or something? Instead it was like Walt Disney just plunked it down in the armpit of America surrounded by rednecks, swamps and alligators. Ew. "Where's my Dasani. I specifically asked for Dasani. I hate the taste of other waters. The bottles make them taste funny. Where is it?" she demanded until someone placed her water of choice in her hand and then she calmed herself down some.
She was in her dressing room, blotting at the bright red lipstick she always wore. Whoever said redheads couldn't wear red was full of crap. Dakota looked hot in red and it only complimented her strawberry blonde hair.
"Dakota?"
"What?" Dakota looked up into the mirror to see her mother, the famed actress Susan Bell Davenport entering the room. Dakota's mother was gorgeous and didn't look anywhere near the fifty years she was pushing. Even though she was taking a break from acting to manage Dakota's career they had both always expected she would eventually go back to it.
"There's someone here to see you. It was a magazine contest. Your number one fan spending the day with you at Disney World. I told you about it last month," Susan said.
"Oh. My number one fan, huh?" Dakota shrugged, pushing her long hair behind her shoulders and immediately embraced the idea. While she didn't respect her fans she loved hearing them gush about her and certainly her number one fan had a lot to say. Besides, Dakota could use a break and she could just make her number one fan do everything for her for the rest of the day. It was the least she could do. "Bring her in."
Susan left briefly and returned with a teenage girl. Dakota smiled brightly at her. "So I hear you're my number one fan."
