Our idea of a superhero has been crafted—molded since we were young. Just a click of the remote took a child to Superman, the very definition of the word. We saw him utilize his enhanced agility and strength to defeat the unethical schemes of Lex Luther, his arch-nemesis. When all was right, he ran to the shadows to become a common man named Clarke Kent. He then battled everyday evils, such as staplers, traffic jams, and the pain of unrequited love.
Though he was portrayed as a civilian, he was never considered one. He was always alien to us, as most well-known superheroes are. It’s never an average man who's gone without a run-in with toxic fluids or bites from strange creatures who saves the day, but for these citizens that all changes...
Weekend Warriors' concept is strongly influenced by comics, television, and movies such as Scott Pilgrim, Kick Ass, and Heroes. It’s relaxed, character-driven, and allows for new sub-plots alongside the existing one.

The words, as if having always known their power, have taken existence in ways only the mind can imagine. The Puppet Master has tangled the strings of fantasy, and with delicate genius, unbound the very fibers of the forgotten tales.
However, in his zeal to breathe life into the slowly fading worlds, the balance was unsettled. Without the covers to keep them within their pages, the words have found their way to other tales, and in the wake, a new world has been born. Dark forces threaten the very ties of fairy tale endings, and as the Puppet Master grows old without the immortality of the books, there are no promises of happily-ever-afters.

PAX LETALE: GODS REBORN
In Southern California, there recently opened a new luxury apartment building. Impeccably designed, impossibly convenient, ideally located, Pax Letale is the sort of residential Shangri La where Southern Californians spend all manner of favors and years trying to secure a spot. But Pax doesn't have a waiting list, nor can a place there be bought or sold. The people who find their way to Pax Letale belong there.
Every tenant of Pax is a reincarnated deity whose worshipers are by and large long dead. Once very real, these gods began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. Reborn as mortals, their essences remain, waiting to be awakened. Somehow, sometimes one by one, sometimes in groups or pairs, these creatures of destiny have discovered Pax, and have not been able to resist its pull.
For at Pax Letale, the awakening has begun. As these gods rediscover themselves and each other, the seemingly invisible but ubiquitous management tracks each of them quite closely, and the very building itself seems to have an agenda of its own. And as the gods made humans in their own image - or humans made them in theirs - so will the the behavior of the people of Pax turn as dark as their myths. Blood, strife, sex, petty plots, torture - even murder will wind their ways into Pax Letale.

Available Tenants:Enki is the Babylonian god of water, crafts, intelligence and creation. Twin of and best friend of Ereshkigal, goddess of the Underworld, he is often seen as a positive foil to his brother Enlil, utilizing his magic and cunning for the good of others; he brings aid to deities and humans alike, serving as a rare masculine nuturer in a chaotic and often oppressively patriarchal pantheon. He will likely have connections to Tiamat, Ereshkigal, and other Sumero-Babylonian deities. Brighid is the Celtic goddess of the forge, inspiration, compassion and creativity, and a patron goddess of artists, craftsmen, and other creative types. In her mortal life, she may have connections to her parents, her siblings, or any of the Celtic pantheon. Masauwu is a Hopi deity sometimes called the Skeleton Man, Keeper of Fire, Spirit of Death, and the Master of the Fourth (present) World. He is depicted as a dark-skinned man wearing a mask; sometimes the creature beneath this mask is described as handsome, sometimes as a disfigured monster. Connections to Native American deities and gods and goddesses of death or enlightenment are likely. ADDITIONAL AVAILABLE TENANTSDon't see a tenant that interests you? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the members of New Directions as witches and wizards in training? Ever thought about what would happen if the Gleeks ventured into the Forbidden Forest? Want to see them hang at Hogsmeade or shop around Diagon Alley? Well, Do You Believe In Magic is the place for you! For years, Lady Tromedlov and her legion of Death Eaters have wreaked havoc upon the wizarding community. Terror and death plagued the United States until she was killed by a brave group of wizards and witches. Her legion, sadistic and ruthless, were (and still are) dedicated to her cause. Some have been imprisoned and sent to Azkaban, others have hidden away from the public eye. They wait in the darkness for the return of their leader. Ten years following the death of the world’s most feared villainess, the wizarding world is finally at peace and a set of students (new and old) are filling the halls of Hogwarts. The glee club members are in their 5th and 6th years at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, ready to continue their fun-filled year. Amidst relationship drama, diva-offs over solos, and balancing adolescence with magic, will the New Directions manage to make it to Nationals in New York before imploding? Apply for a gleek and enter the world of wizards, witches, spells and songs. Original characters are welcome and encouraged. The game started on December 1st. There are no holds on canon characters, so get in those applications! |
