RP: James and Sirius
Who: Sirius/James
When: Evening, April 9th
Where: Sirius' Room
What: Talking was Bound to Happen Eventually
Yesterday had felt like a hurricane. Sirius had gone Padfoot for most of the morning, and turned his feelings off for the afternoon. Padfoot had slept at the foot of Remus' bed, and Sirius was very proud of how little he'd thought about any of it after the initial panic. If he could ignore it it wasn't real. That had been his motto for his entire life, and he wasn't about to abandon it now.
He'd made it through most of the day without thinking about much of anything at all. He did his job, pretended to eat, and overall laughed and joked his way out of anything that could be considered important or serious. He was very good at that, and his friends were dealing with all their own stuff so it was a lot easier than it sometimes was.
He'd snuck away after dinner, needing a few moments to just be empty before he put his happy face back on. So of course James quietly came into the room a few moments later. He knew him too well, damn it. James also wouldn't push, Sirius knew. Still, he put on what he hoped was a convincing grin and turned to face his friend. Maybe the cracks wouldn't be too obvious and Sirius could just keep pretending.
"Hey. Bored of your beautiful wife already?"
