The Best Laid Plans (tag: Frigg, then Loki, then Sigyn)
Thor loved feasts. Everybody got together, ate, drank, laughed, told stories and sometimes fought. It was the best of all worlds all in one room, and Thor couldn't imagine how anybody could have a bad time at a feast. Well, most of the time. There was one person he was pretty sure was having a bad time tonight. But really, it was for his own good.
Grabbing another flagon of mead off a table, he laughed at the man who'd had it in hand just a moment before. A quick clap on the shoulder and he boomed, “Too slow, my friend. Try again later.”
Then he moved on around the tables, stopping to chat with a few along the way. But truly, he was keeping an eye on three specific people that night. The first hadn't moved for some time. He was standing on the far side of the room, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, doing his very best to look as though he was just casually reclining. But Thor knew better. He knew that Loki was sulking. And he knew that because every once in a while, the Trickster's eyes would dart toward the other two people Thor was watching.
His son. And Sigyn. Who were sitting together. He'd be lying if he didn't say he sort of liked it. She really would be a good match for his son. But only if his best friend continued to be stupid and stubborn. So he was going to give his plan of his sister's a chance to work. At least for now. Worth a shot anyway, was how he figured it.
A bone stuck out of the end of a chunk of meat, making a convenient handle for him to grab as he rounded another table. A huge bite of it went in his mouth, followed by a swig of mead. Still chewing, he approached Frigg and said, “Goin' good, huh?”
