Yeah. At least on my mom's side. On my dad's side, they were called "Men of Letters." Hunters tend to shoot, shovel, and shut up; Men of Letters were apparently more about gathering knowledge, though they would kill when they had do, to protect themselves and others. Never really knew about that side of the family until recently though.

It's complicated. But the point is, I can teach you how to stay alive.

	It takes practice. There are other ways to protect yourself and others, if fighting isn't your strong suit--but it's still good to know where to kick, if you know what I mean. Different weapons, or sometimes just different ammo, for different monsters. Some things can't be hurt with weapons, and can only be destroyed by fire. Sometimes it takes a certain ritual or incantation. You have to keep copious notes, and memorize as much as you can. Dead languages are your friend.

Well, they're not mine, exactly. My Latin sucks. But they could be yours.

Right now, or in my lifetime? There's my brother. Krissy Chambers and her group of hunter's kids. Kevin Tran. Sheriff Jody. Charlie. The list goes on. You meet people along the way, who can't unsee the monsters in the closet, and you teach em what you can. In a place like this, I don't have the luxury to just save your ass once, take out the thin that was after you and move on. Whatever is out there will just keep coming, and I'll do what ittakes to get as many of us out of here alive as I can, or die trying. That's just what I do.
