On One's Knees - Team Fanon
Title: On One's Knees
Team: Fanon
Author: [info]pir8fancier
Prompt: Strength
Wordcount: 32,239
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Lots of swearing, I know that bugs some people
Summary: Five years after the final battle at Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy has been paroled from Azkaban and works nights as a janitor at The Daily Prophet. Harry Potter, recently married to Ginny Weasley, is training as a Healer at St. Mungo's. One wastebasket=one head injury=our story.
Author's Note A number of people helped me with this story. After the reveal, I will give them their due. I am one of those people who really relies on their betas. As I've said before, they make it much better. I would like to dedicate this story to [info]sistermagpie, who shares my love for Draco Malfoy in all his glorious perfect imperfections.

I don't really comment much, but I had to tell you how much enormous love I have for this story. This is how I see Draco (after he's learned how to not say out loud every piece of abuse that springs into his mind when he's cross).

I loved how character driven it was. The decisions and choices they made were made because they were them. Other people would have done things differently. Draco would rather continue to suffer than accept Harry's help, but Harry digs his heels in, and that's that. I also love Draco's relationship with Pansy. It's both amusing and heartbreaking at the same time. The imagery throughout is just lovely.

It's wonderful to read such a totally engaging story that that can be horrific and heart-rending, and still have you grinning most of the way through.

So, errr, basically - love love love. :o)
