Potter needs to be knocked down a peg. Literally. Teach him his proper place. I pull my wand from my pocket and aim, “See you on the other side, Potter.” Readying shot.
But things go terribly wrong.

Author's Notes: It’s probably crap, but it only took me a couple of minutes. I’ll try to do better next time, I promise! I had a better one but it doesn't fit with the theme. I think this one kind of does...
He sits down at his usual place in the Great Hall, the one next to Ron. Mechanically, he reaches out for the toast, butter and jam.
Then he suddenly looks up. Someone, somewhere, is watching him. He knows it. He can feel it.
He abandons his toast for a few seconds and lets his eyes slowly wander across the Hall. Where does this feeling come from?
Finally, his eyes land on the Slytherin table. More precisely on a blond boy staring at him.
Draco raises an eyebrow and then smiles.
He has caught Harry’s attention. Without even moving.
Mission accomplished.

He let out a sigh. Before him were the same coaches as every year. The same path down to the Hogwarts gates. The same students milling about, talking about the same summer plans. Somehow, he'd thought it would be different, after everything was over.
A flash of light on shining blond caught his eye. The head turned toward him. "Coming?" the Slytherin asked, and it was all different. |

But then Malfoy smiled at him- smiled, and then walked away.
And he guessed he looked odd, lying on the floor of the train with a ridiculous grin on his face, Ron staring at him like he was crazy, Hermione giggling in a corner because of course she knew, but things were different now. |

This is just a modly note to remind everyone that drabbles must be exactly 100 words in length, not shorter nor longer than that. If or when we adopt a points system, we will be monitoring word length and crediting only those that fit the 100 words.
If you're unsure of how many words your drabble is, you can paste it in MS Word, select the drabble, click on Tools, then Word Count, or use this program that sailorsimba discovered.
ETA: If you're posting only one drabble, then you don't have to use a cut. Cuts are only for R-rated and NC17 rated drabbles, or if there is more than one drabble posted.
