Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and we all love shipping nonsense so, I mean, why beat around the bush? Use this meme to talk ships and romance and maybe you'll even find your characters a Valentine. 💘

Name: Clementine Decourt
What do they look for in a person?: She likes people that're the same as her. She's spent so much of her life feeling like the odd person out that people who are on her level appeal to her most across the board, and especially as far as relationships go. And she's a little difficult to get along with, obviously, so having the same... QUIRKS WE'LL SAY is a plus in her book. People who aren't offended by her sometimes mean-spirited sense of humor for sure. She wouldn't be able to handle having to be careful with someone's ego. Ultimately if someone doesn't have a passion in life or any drive to excel, there's not a lot she'd be able to relate to them on (the thing in question doesn't have to be Quidditch, fwiw, but the energy and dedication have to be there).

All that said she's never been particularly discerning about who she kisses. She'll kiss basically anyone as long as they're not a douche about it. But she doesn't seem to think much of kissing as a sign of serious romantic interest either. It's equal parts "fun activity" and "way to get attention" to her.

What do they find romantic?: She's not super into sappy cliche shit. Or codependency. Or, surprisingly, drama. She finds most other people's gushy high school romances to be borderline intolerable. This has a lot to do with the fact that she's really uncomfortable expressing positive emotions. Excessive compliments and "I Love You"s didn't get bandied around in her family a lot while she was growing up. It's just not their style. Now she's most likely to respond to any kind of open affection, friendly or romantic, with an embarrassed aside of "gross, whatever", and she lets people know she cares about them by TALKING SHIT. lovingly.

As for what she actually does find romantic... like... excitement! Adventure! Fun! Doing dumb shit together! She's here to have a good time, mostly. If a relationship isn't fun she's not sure what it's good for.

Who do they have a crush on?: Sy Stoker. Obviously. She knows it's obvious. No she doesn't want to talk about it

Are they seeing someone right now?: TBD pending quidditch results. (Honestly, though: she really likes Sy. If she were a normal well-adjusted person she'd probably just assume they were dating by now, but she's not super into boyfriend/girlfriend-y going steady stuff in the first place, so since he's clearly avoiding the subject she's just gonna let it lie. AND she's having a good time as is anyway, if it ain't broke, etc.)

What are they like in a relationship?: She's never been in a serious relationship but I think she'd probably be pretty low-maintenance. She's not clingy or demanding and not the jealous type. If the other person was clingy she might start getting weird about things, but otherwise it'd be like. let's hang out after class. please hold my quaffle while i beat that guy up. let's go find a really tall tree and climb it. y'know, TEENAGE ANTICS

Anything else?: not romance themed but Callie and I decided Clem & Vee have matching friendship tattoos and it's ADORABLE
