MEME: Dog Breeds

My favourite game to play at the bar is "What breed of dog would you be?" where I determine what breed of dog my friends would be based on my comprehensive and pointless knowledge of everything canine. Real people are not enough and I'm mad with power, so I want to do this for your characters! And, like, other people can also give input. I guess.

Yes, this meme is completely self-indulgent.

Fill out the form and I'll tell you what kind of dog I think they would be if they were a dog! WIN-WIN. (I'll post an example with Kurt.) Disclaimer: Most of these will probably be bigger dog breeds because they're what I know best. Sorry not sorry for the bias, big dogs are the bomb.

Name:
House:
Profile: Link me.
Social Disposition: How do they act towards strangers? To friends? What are they like in different social situations? Do they have a large group of friends, or perhaps a select few that they're close with, or even no friends?
Independence: Are they needy? Stoic? Indifferent until they need something, or perhaps willing to help others but never to ask for help?
Loyalty: Are they a friend to the end? Selectively devoted? Flighty?
New Situations: How do they approach new situations?
Energy/Play: How energetic are they? Are they selectively hyper, or are they stuck on 'Energizer Bunny?' How do they like to shake off all that excess spirit? What are they like when they're in a feisty/playful mood?
Fears: What are they afraid of? How do they respond?
Environment: Where are they happiest? Ex. outdoors, running around, by a fireplace with a good book, at a party
Mantra: Optional. Are there any words your character lives by?
Other: Optional. Anything else I/we should know?
A Cute Gif of Your Character: Optional. If you have one gif you would like to share, we would like to see that one gif. I will also accept dog gifs.

Iris Shacklebolt HELLA CURIOUs

Name: Iris Shacklebolt
House: Coppertale
Profile: Here.
Social Disposition: With people Iris doesn't know well, she maintains a composed and unruffled air that indicates that she knows exactly what's going on at all times and that there's no problem whatsoever with anything ever. With closer friends, she may express some doubt or nervousness, and it's a rare friend that actually gets to see the neurotic mess she really is inside. If anything, she'll just mention her issues offhandedly and then refocus the conversation. She's friendly with just about everyone and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, but she also tends to just have a very few CLOSE close friends.
Independence: Always willing to help others, but still stubbornly independent herself. She will accept help if she needs it, but good luck getting her to admit that. She loves being around people either way, but she's also content to just sit and be at peace. Kind of middle of the road where this is concerned.
Loyalty: Friend to the end, definitely, but primarily with people who manage to make their way into the GOOD good friend circle. Outside of that, she'll mostly take friends' sides in issues, and she'll defend anyone she even slightly cares about against ills, but when there's a conflict between two people on the more outer reaches of her loyalty, she's pretty selective.
New Situations: With eagerness, curiosity, and delight.
Energy/Play: Iris is middling when it comes to energy, about average. If she's feeling excessively excited or energetic, she'll sing. A lot. Loudly. And if she's SUPER excessively excited, she'll sing and dance and try to get other people to join her. That's not terribly common though.
Fears: Outside of disappointing everyone (which is not terribly concrete), she's skittish about water and drowning, and she mostly deals with this by avoiding situations where it might be a problem.
Environment: Curled up by a fireplace, wrapped in several warm blankets, with a few friends nearby in case she's feeling chatty.
Mantra: "I am good enough as Iris, not as my father's daughter."
Other: Nup.
A Cute Gif of Your Character: I relate to this pupper.

Iris is a Plott Hound!
- Plotts wilt under dominance training so positive reinforcement techniques are always recommended — they work happiest when they know they're being appreciated. And also when there's going to be food.
- Like most coonhounds, Plotts most enjoy the company of their immediate pack and seek out close affection when they're ready.
- They have the most delightful baying (AKA "singing") and it's the best and I love it my heart is swelling as I type.
- Their noses are so strong that they're incredibly curious dudes!
- Their energy level is a little above Iris', but as long as they get enough mental stimulation and good walks they'e happy with just chilling out. See: my dog, who has barely moved in 4 hours.
(- I wanted to use an English hound because Iris, but Americans have been so enthusiastically breeding coonhounds that there are just plain more American breeds to choose from, and English Foxhounds didn't fit the bill.)

Full disclosure: This is the most self-indulgent of all responses because my amazing dog is a Plott mix. At least that means I've done a lot of research on them?
