WHERE : Christine's Bookstore.
WHEN : Afternoon.
STATUS : Thread/Complete.
RATING : LOLZ PG.
There was something lacking in Mari's life. Sure, she had her family and friends. She was a good student and a model citizen. She was what every young man's mother would want for their sons, a girl who was honest and caring, responsible and sweet. Mari had it all. Unfortunately, Mari still felt a strange emptiness inside of her. She kept telling herself that it was all due to school being over for the year. Summer was now officially upon her, and she had no idea what to do for the next month or so before summer camp started. It was a mighty big conundrum indeed. She would have to find ways to entertain herself for the time being, and while it was easy for her to find things that would entertain two dozen five-year-olds to the point of exhaustion, when it came to her, she was at wits end.
The only thing she could really think of doing was something that perhaps someone who was also fresh out of a long and difficult semester wouldn't even dream about. Yep, Mari was in a bookstore looking for something to read. And even though her genre of choice consisted of those cheesy romance novels that could easily be read in a day or two, it was still reading. Then again, Mari had nothing else to do with her time. She was driving both her mother and sister crazy with plans and ideas, until they finally sent her off to do something on her own. Thus, she ended up in the fiction section of Christine's bookstore, paging through the latest Nicholas Sparks novel. Hmm... should I really go for the tearjerkers? She'd had about enough with A Walk to Remember and The Notebook, but there was just something undeniably appealing about a Sparks novel. Maybe a few tears would do her some good.
