Working off some steam
Who: Cooper Baldwin Jack Murdock
When: Monday morning - early
Where: The gym
What: Cooper is pissed for no good reason and knows what will happen if he doesn't expend the bad feelings that are completely unfounded...but still.
He didn't hate her. Hell, Coop barely even knew Joan, but he still didn't much care for her. Why did she always feel the need to be such a Debbie Downer? She was probably just so miserable because...she just liked being miserable. That was the problem - Cooper didn't know how to justify her actions and didn't know if he wanted to. It wasn't like Joan was sunshine and lollipops to everyone but him, he could have probably dealt with that. He could be The Hated One but it seemed like Joan just liked ruining everyone else's good time.
He didn't know why he had let this bother him all weekend long, but it had, in the back of his mind. It had waited and festered and Cooper awoke with a start early Monday morning. He glanced over at Jay and smirked. How he ended up turned around in his own bed across the floor was a mystery to Cooper. But thankfully, the pillow was over his head so it made sneaking out of the room that much easier. A quick glance in the mirror and his fears were realized. It hadn't just been a bad dream. The slight shade to his under eyes let him know that yes, over the stupid shit that Joan had done, Cooper was heading into one of his dreaded moods. He knew he'd be missing class that day, not wanting people to notice, but he had to try and burn it off before it got any worse. He wished he was better at meditating, but he didn't have the patience for it.
His hands were full as he walked through the hallways, carrying his gym clothes, his shower caddy and a change of clothes for the day. No offense to Jay, but Cooper didn't want the guy's good-natured ribbing to send him off the deep end. Exercise. He'd just exhaust himself and then decide, hopefully, that Joan could be a bitch if she wanted to, that it didn't effect him at all.
After he dumped everything into a locker, Cooper wrapped his hands and laced up his shoes. Punching bag first, weights, then running. Running until his lungs hurt and he would threw up his empty stomach. He should have enough time to do all of that before people started to come in and bother him. No way was he going to let Joan rule over him like this. But...first, he needed to punch something.
