[If this first paragraph isn’t alright, I can change the set up.]
Vogg had dropped the venison off that morning, leaving it with a barely awake and not entirely functioning Lucy. She had thanked him for it, told him she would find him later when it was done, and in her half-asleep state had said something like ‘bloody hell, you lot are a massive bunch’ before closing the door. She’d put the meat in the fridge and then had crashed for another hour before getting up for the day.
Nine hours later, she was on her way to meet the original Viking in the park, the food she had prepared carefully sectioned in various containers in the basket of her bicycle. Having made food wasn’t all that unusual; Molly I had passed down the cooking gene to a ton of the Weasley grandchildren. It was the offering to make it for someone without a reason that was strange. Lucy wasn’t known for doing things out of the goodness of her heart. Like with Remus- she was making the Wolfsbane potion for him because it was beneficial to her, as well. It served as a much needed distraction. She supposed she had offered to make the food because she was trying to adapt, make ties with people here, and that Vogg being someone she had no preconceived notions about made him a prime candidate. There was a drastic difference between having read about someone in a history book in third year and having grown up with them.
“Hey!” she called, spotting him at the designated picnic table. She came to a stop and hopped off her bike before nudging the kickstand down with her foot, and grabbed the food. Walking over the table, she set everything out. She’d come prepared, with everything you’d need for a picnic. She spoke as she opened the containers, “I’m Lucy, by the way. We’ve not officially met; I’m not very sociable in the morning.”
Sitting across from him, she shrugged out of her coat and went on, “So which do you want to try first, the chili or the chili dog? I’ve brought crackers and cheese as well. And water.”
