Salazar was tired, hungry and sore. After the battle at the castle, he had allowed his injured ankle to be healed, but nothing more. He kept his bruises as a reminder. Mostly, however, Salazar was angry. Godric was dead. Helga and Helena were ill. His serpent was more than likely dead as well. His castle, his home was taken from him. No matter how he felt, he would keep on. Salazar Slytherin would not quit until the monsters were defeated, or he was dead. And he was far too stubborn to die.
After finished his conversation with Greg, he stuffed his journal into the back pocket of his soggy pants and headed off into the rain to find him. His wand was in once hand, and he had an axe in the other - he discovered at the battle that it was far more effective to hack at the monsters with something heavy than it was to try ti slice at them. His sword still hung at his side, though. He would not go anywhere without it. Salazar kept himself on alert as he moved, ready for the slightest hint of danger. He soon quickened his pace to a jog, and then a run. In the distance, he could see one of the creatures, but he did not strike yet. Not until he was close enough that he could clearly see it's face. When he did, he hit it with a strong blast of dark magic. It did not kill the creature, but it did stun it. That was when Salazar viciously began hacking at it with his axe, keeping his eyes and his mouth closed as he did so. Once he was satisfied the creature was at least gravely injured, he took a moment to wipe the spray of blood from his face with his already filthy sleeve. Then sheathed his wand, took out his sword, and ran it through the creatures chest.
"Are you Greg?" he asked the human figure a few yards away from him.
