When the deal was set, final oaths and verbally scathing remarks exchanged, the Sin was finally released. Released from Hell, released from age-old bonds that Greed never knew could have been possible to fall away from.
But while these things may have deemed him as a "changed man", the truth of the matter was - Greed didn't feel jackshit.
He was expecting something more orgasmic in a way, fully sensual or even painful in being released. But what he got in return was something almost the same as the emotionless pain one would get from receiving a two weeks notice paper. Like he was fired from some kind of firm.
It was fucking depressing. For a man that loved materialistic wealth, this seemed very close to doing a free lunch, which was taboo for his type.
Shaking his head, the Sin quickly wet his lips and let a piercing whistle rip through the air, beckoning his limo towards him. He had other business to attend to. Now that this had been taken care of, Greed had immediate plans, one of them was to visit his sister. Ever since her phone call and a gradual, yet cautious, rise to the level of tolerance formed between the two again, Greed had contemplated more than once to see her even if the phone call had a mutual understanding between the both of them that limited contact was preferred.
While Greed didn't have any intention to gut the man that was with her constantly nowadays, filling his shoes quite nicely, he still had his own reasons to see his sister if not for revenge or fulfilling consequences. Simple enough, it just had been too long and something told him to take advantage of the civil situation between the both of them while he could.
Off and on the tarmac, short ride through vineyards and Greed was there. It almost seemed like nothing had changed much since the last time he had arrived and the villa itself housed all six of them. But even if the interior, exterior, gardens, colors, everything had looked the same, Greed knew that things felt differently as he could feel traces of a link that he only felt with one particular goddess; a link that he used everything to ignore when he walked inside the house.
Holding a single gold-dipped rose in one hand, Greed raised his other to press a finger against his lips, quieting the maid outside of the bedroom whose eyes had grown wide in surprise at the intruder. Before she could say anything, an overwhelming urge to find that china-blue vase filled with riches struck her and Greed was left alone once more.
Shoes were silent against the floor as the Sin made his way around the bed, his attention captured by the familiar curve of her body underneath the covers and the dark tint of her soft hair being caught by the first shining rays of the dawn. He finally stopped right before the window closest to the bed. Leaning against the glass, Greed stood still and just watched his sister sleep, almost afraid to break the silent, peaceful moment to think about who she would mistake him for when she woke up.
Or if she even could tolerate him being here right now.
