Who: Sato and Triton What: Finally meeting face to face Where: Starbucks When: Friday Afternoon Warnings: None
Triton did not want this meeting drawn out. When he’d first been told the kimono he’d bought had been stolen, he had been furious. He’d had similar instances happen to him over the years, and it always angered him. It was, really, the only thing he didn’t enjoy about what he did.
Making matters worse, Ares had been involved this time. Ares hadn’t known, he had apologized, had even told Triton who was behind it all. This made the entire situation much more personal. Triton had thought he was facing not an individual, really, but a faceless group…..that had now changed. He had a name, there was one person, and she had involved someone close to him.
He didn’t want to do this now, but he also didn’t want to have to deal with this sort of thing again. Triton had spent several days thinking it over, calming himself. Whether it had been beneficial to his thoughts on the matter or not, the issue of the kimono had been pushed aside entirely by other things that had come up lately, and after those first few days, he'd barely thought of it at all.Triton had Athena to think of, he had responsibilities to sort out, he had so many conflicting feelings they had demanded to be attended to immediately.
This was what he had been doing when Athena had suggested he speak to Sato’s assistant. He had gladly agreed, thinking that he could politely speak to the woman and work things out before putting the whole mess behind him. It had not worked out that way. Now he had to speak to Sato herself, and Triton did not think he could manage it as quickly or with as little emotion as he’d hoped for. A great deal of his anger had dissipated….but not all of it. It was why a public place was best. When he’d first found out, he’d been so close to feeling as he had in the days when he actually fought that he didn’t quite trust himself to completely keep his calm now. It was why Triton was waiting in a Starbucks, occupying himself with a cup of coffee.
