How many people here have played or still play Quidditch?

[Evancolour]

Want to go flying? Someone besides Sirius and I should test these brooms out. I promise you won't injure yourself. They're safe.

Maybe after If we I can't even

On another note, has anything more been discovered about the dead Muggles?

[his Sirius]
Are these brooms up to your high speed expectations?

Only the highest. Time to put them to good use.

Absolutely. We have some Quidditch players around who probably can see how well they work with their moves. I'm no professional, so I can't say mine are all that complicated.

Might get back into it myself. It's been years since I've played for an actual team.

I wish I'd taken up Quidditch as a career. It likely would have been more entertaining.

I will count it. I may be biased, however.

You may be, but I will work that bias to my advantage. Are the brooms finally ready, then?

I suppose this means we are truly related. Finally, yes. Sirius even approves their speed.

It is a special kind of education at the Black household, including lessons on expedient situations. If Sirius approves their speed I believe I will place cushioning charms on my clothing and helmet.

[info]toilandhazard
2013-08-07 07:30 pm UTC (link)
Of course. As is the way. No education would be complete without both of those. I haven't died yet [...] or been grievously injured, but I guess it is better to be safe than sorry. Not that I believe there is any real danger as I have flown them myself.

[info]totheright

Certainly not, and to think otherwise would be extreme folly. The Black way is most wise of all. I can not wait to put them through their paces in that case. I am sure they will perform superbly. And should I find myself injured help is never far.

[info]toilandhazard
2013-08-07 07:41 pm UTC (link)
Oh, yes. Incredibly wise. It could be no other way. Should you find yourself injured I will try not to panic terribly Sirius will be there to over exaggerate and I will be there to under exaggerate, but I'm sure you will be alright. We wouldn't let you go without treatment.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]totheright
2013-08-07 07:49 pm UTC (link)
Other ways are inferior and not to be thought about. And somewhere in between the exaggerating will be me, as it should be. I should hope you wouldn't but I suppose one can never be too certain. I will practice my sparks and indignant squawks.

They are incredibly inferior. Even thinking about thinking about them is an issue. It is the only way, of course. Should we forget ourselves, you are free to hex us.

I should spend copious amounts of time alone in my room thinking about what I've done and being penitent but most certainly not thinking about the other ways. Or I will have to begin the cycle of sitting in my room all over again. It will be incredibly difficult but I think I can summon the fortitude to do what I have to and hex you both.

[info]toilandhazard
2013-08-07 07:59 pm UTC (link)
I would advise you to do so. As it is only fitting. You shall certainly have to try hard because it would be quite a long time in a room should you slip up. It is lucky that you are so well equipped to be able to do so. It would be quite concerning otherwise.

I may never emerge. You will be forced to slide my meals under the door which will create quite a mess, as the space is only a few centimeters at most. It would be most fortunate to have Kreacher around while I take my punishment but I suppose I will have to do without. I am very well equipped indeed but I hope you will truly never have to find out. Sirius can find out, however.

We would clearly make a little doggy door or perhaps a few well-placed charms to make the space larger. But only to keep from making a mess as we slide the meals under your door. No? Will my knowing cause some worry? Or are you just trying to coax Sirius into not holding your teasing against you?

That is a wise solution, Father. You should add a few pages to the Black Book on Parenting. I was thinking more that he can find out firsthand because we both know he will be very affronted that we've besmirched what is an otherwise spotless reputation and there is nothing I can give him that will persuade him otherwise.

I will be sure to once I can find a copy of the book. Ah. Yes. He will be incredibly displeased with what we've said. I am sure we may find some way of distracting him from his displeasure. We will get tennis balls, of course.

He can be most stern and terrifying with his strictness. I should be quite frightened of him if he weren't my uncle. Tennis balls are excellent Sirius Currency. I have a few tug of war ropes as well that might distract him.

Quite. He is quite the frightening individual when made displeased. Luckily, I believe I get easier treatment considering the fact that I am his brother. They are, indeed. Brilliant. I think we may succeed yet!

It is a good accomplishment- not the brooms, but setting out to do a thing and doing that thing through to completion. I am proud of you, Father.

I think you can probably guess the answer to that one yourself. I'm not sure if "still" is the word to use here, considering the lack of house quidditch teams.

Well, there's a Quidditch pitch around. Sirius and I have been working on brooms. It's been some time and I was hoping to get some people outside of ourselves to test them out.

We've worked out the kinks, but I still want to see how they fly.

I forget that you still talk to yo I don't think a pitch is much good without brooms. Well, I suppose you could always run after each other with the balls, but I don't think somehow it would be the same thing at all.

If you think I count as a person outside of yourself, I'd be glad to volunteer.

I don't think so, no. There are a few brooms. We just figured it would be fun to make our own.

Well, you are me, but you are also not exactly me, so I think you count.

I'd be more than happy to, I can't tell you how much I've missed flying. That was the only part of being just a few inches high in Neverland I didn't mind.
