A great deal can happen in a decade, but, I am not going to try and convince you of that. You made it more than clear the first time I was here that you wanted little to do with me and blamed me for everything so regardless of the fact that I would very much like to know you seeing as how you are my son, I'm not going to push and I'm not going to say anything. It's merely a waste of my time to do such a thing.

Oh, no. No no. I am not your son. You burned me off the tapestry and told me as much. You can't bloody well guilt me into a family reunion, either, no matter how 'different' you claim to be at this age. I don't believe you're any different at all, really. Perhaps more quiet and less insane, but still the same deep down.

How am I supposed to do such a thing when you won't even give me the time of day? I, more than anything else, would love to get to know you but I can't do that when you won't even speak to me unless I initiate the conversation and even then, it's stilted and very brief. A person can't get to know another person when one party refuses to participate or budge on the matter.

Why in Merlin's name would I give you the time of day? You brought me up under bullshit teachings with screaming and cursing and yelling about blood purity and traitors, and then disowned me when I dared disagree. Why would I let you get to know me now? You didn't give a fuck when I was a kid, so long as I didn't backtalk.

You seem to think I ought to give you a free pass because you're young. You don't even have the alternate world thing as reasoning. You're the same bloody woman who gave birth to me. You did all of the shit I remember. Maybe you haven't done it yet, but you will. So why the fuck would I bother having a conversation with you or getting to know you when I already know the future?

Don't you fucking dare make it sound like I don't have proper reasons. You can claim to be an innocent all you want, but you're all manipulative as hell. It's a Black family trait.
