Are you busy tomorrow? I wanted to do something with you at some point.

It's my birthday ~~which isn't a big deal~~ and I don't really want a big fuss made of it, but I'd like to see you for a little bit of it if you wouldn't mind.

It's strange to think so much time has passed here.

I suppose that would make sense. Things are different here. Sometimes I would prefer another year with my family to the places we end up, but it is not so terrible, I suppose.

I can see how that would be strange. I have only just been forced out of my house at this age. I know I have children, but I don't know them well and I've never met them. I'm sorry you aren't there for it if that is upsetting.

	It's not upsetting, exactly. I just wish I had all the memories they do...and, well, sometimes I think I would handle certain things better if I was older. I sort of flipped when Erin got her boyfriend, and then I found out this kid basically grew up with her. He just wasn't born yet in my time. I probably was a lot cooler about it in "real life". 	Pi(e), and yeah, I could ask. I just hadn't thought of it. Well, it's just that the parental skills you develop for toddlers and newborns is just different than those you need for kids and teenagers. I'm more equipped to deal with them crying at 3:00 in the morning and spitting up on my favourite shirt. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
