Are you busy tomorrow? I wanted to do something with you at some point.

It's my birthday ~~which isn't a big deal~~ and I don't really want a big fuss made of it, but I'd like to see you for a little bit of it if you wouldn't mind.

It's strange to think so much time has passed here.

	Knocking on A LOT of wood right now, because my wife would find a way to kill me if I got sent home, but sometimes I doubt that I'm ever going home. Even knowing I'm sort of living in my house right now. I wouldn't really mind going home home- not at all, in fact, but I would mind leaving my whole family here. (Reply to this) (Thread)

I think it really depends on the person. I know I shouldn't complain, I have everything that's important to me, but there are little things I miss a lot. I miss the feeling of...normalcy. I miss Ireland. But I have my family here and that's what's important.

It's also kind of...strange having the kids be different ages. I mean, it's really nice to see how amazing Niall and Erin turn out, but on the otherhand, I should have been able to see that happen, not just heard about it from them. Erin was only just born in my time, and Niall was two.

I suppose that would make sense. Things are different here. Sometimes I would prefer another year with my family to the places we end up, but it is not so terrible, I suppose.

I can see how that would be strange. I have only just been forced out of my house at this age. I know I have children, but I don't know them well and I've never met them. I'm sorry you aren't there for it if that is upsetting.

	It's not upsetting, exactly. I just wish I had all the memories they do...and, well, sometimes I think I would handle certain things better if I was older. I sort of flipped when Erin got her boyfriend, and then I found out this kid basically grew up with her. He just wasn't born yet in my time. I probably was a lot cooler about it in "real life". 	Pi(e), and yeah, I could ask. I just hadn't thought of it. Well, it's just that the parental skills you develop for toddlers and newborns is just different than those you need for kids and teenagers.
