There were two youngsters in the shop today playing some game called rock, paper, size-ors today to figure out who could pick up the last copy of a comic we've started carrying. I'm not quite sure how it worked but it was rather interesting to watch. I don't remember ever having played such a game when I was younger. It must be something that has made its way to us from the Muggle world.

Have things calmed down any? Remember the offer for a manicure still stands. I picked up a few nice wraps after work. Some that change colors with your mood others have moving stencils. You can have first choice.

And what does one get if one wins?

Whatever you're playing for. First in line, the last doughnut, whatever. It's a little game that is more complex than it looks because it involves strategy, tactics, and psychology, on the part of both players.

Paper wraps rock, rock breaks scissors, scissors cut paper. Very simple, very complex.

And how do you ensure that the person you are playing against doesn't pause just long enough to win every time? Wouldn't taking turns be a much better solution?

You both have to throw at the same time or the game doesn't work.

And how do you guarantee they throw at exactly the same moment?

You're reading too much into it, luv.. It's just a friendly little game to settle a quick choice. You wouldn't play it with someone likely to try to cheat.

I just can't fathom why it's usefulness.
