Journal: Marietta Edgecombe
There were two youngsters in the shop today playing some game called rock, paper, size-ors today to figure out who could pick up the last copy of a comic we've started carrying. I'm not quite sure how it worked but it was rather interesting to watch. I don't remember ever having played such a game when I was younger. It must be something that has made its way to us from the Muggle world.

Have things calmed down any? Remember the offer for a manicure still stands. I picked up a few nice wraps after work. Some that change colors with your mood others have moving stencils. You can have first choice.

Why would you use a game to make decisions? That seems rather reckless does it not.

Why not? It's a kid's game, nothing life changing is being decided.

How do you know they aren't life changing decisions. For example there could have been a page in that comic that would have clarified what the young man who lost might do in his future and now he may never know.

At least now he knows he's got a shite friend if his friend won't let him read the comic after he's done. That's an important and life clarifying lesson to learn, too.

I suppose it is. However, if there is anything I've learned over the years it is that timing of a lesson is just as important as the lesson itself.

You don't seem to understand the concept of "game" very well. It's for fun.

I understand the concept of a game just fine. I simply refuse to gamble away life decisions.

Didn't realize comics were a life altering decision, sorry. I'll keep that in mind for the future though.

You never know when the smallest of choices are going to be life altering.
